After dinner, Diana refuses both Bella and Charlie's offers to drive her down to the Rez but she does hand off her school bag to her dad after making sure than her phone is safely zipped into her leather jacket's pocket. The two of them watch her in amazement and she starts running down the road in her heavy combat boots after eating such a large meal.
It takes her a bit longer to get to the Clearwater's house as she was further away but the blonde finds the journey a peaceful one. The lack of rain makes it a lot more pleasant and the gently breeze blowing against her back is much more refreshing than the usual strong winds pushing against her. "Hey Sue." She says to the woman as she walks into the house.
"Hey Diana, Leah's upstairs in her room. I think she's a little tired after her shift." She tells the blonde, before pointing over to the kitchen. "I just went shopping so there's a new box of Diet Coke in the fridge."
Diana grins after hearing this, pulling the woman into a half hug from behind the sofa. "Oh how you dote on me, mama Clearwater." The girl laughs, snatching a can from the white fridge and cracking it open.
"Don't I know it." Sue teases, waving the girl off as she sets off up the stairs. Diana absolutely adores the woman. She's the only female role model she's ever had in this life and she does an amazing job of it. The Clearwater woman is a force to be reckoned with in the best way possible, however that doesn't prevent her from showering her family with love.
The blonde swings open the bedroom floor, revealing a scowling Leah who is led on her bed with a book held above her head. "Hey Leah." She says, flopping next to the scowling girl.
"You're late." The raven haired girl replies, folding the corner of the page she is on and rotating herself so that she is on her side, meaning that the two of them are facing each other.
Diana chuckles. "Better late than never." She teases but the girl still frowns at her. "Oh come on, you can't be mad at me. Everyone in the diner seemed to want to catch up with Bella, even though most have them have only met her once ten years ago. The food ended up taking ages to come out." She pouts.
Leah can't help but stare at the girl's puppy dog eyes. She pulls a face, before sighing. "I hate you."
This earns her a cackle from Diana, who always knows how to bring out her soft side. After her bad breakup with Sam she tends to be a lot colder with people and gets angry fairly easily but she could never be like that with the blonde. The two of them have been practically inseparable since they first met and have been there for each other through thick and thin. "Nah you love me." Diana responds, sticking out her tongue cheekily when Leah smacks her arm.
The blonde goes to hit her back but her wrist is grabbed mid swing by Leah, who is looking at her arm in confusion. "When did you get a tattoo?" She asks, brushing her finger over the girl's bicep.
"What?" Diana asks, just as bewildered as Leah is. She looks down at her arm, and lo and behold there one is. Her fingers trace over the dark ink as she tries to conceal an excited grin. An image of her old doubled bladed, long handled axe is seared into her skin. "Not too long ago, do you like it?"
In her past life the girl had hated lugging around her chest of weapons everywhere and how indiscreet it was to carry around large weapons when going to kill a demon. She eventually had the idea of asking one of the witches the council is friends with if there was a way to prevent this. The witches themselves thought this to be a great idea, so they set off to work. After around a month or so they got back in touch with the blonde and explained their solution.
They tattooed her weapons onto her body using a spell, so that when she calls out for one of them it would appear in her hands- which means that she is always ready for battle. Her axe had been the first she had gotten, so there's a chance of the rest of them returning over time. She had taken it from one of the very first demons she had killed and it's definitely one of her favourites. It was forged in a hell dimension and is practically indestructible. The blonde begins to curious if it would work on one of the Cullen's, she has felt how hard Emmett's skin is- it being more comparable to stone than anything else- and wonders if it'll manage to do any damage towards him.
