For an incredibly tiny high school, they really have outdone themselves with the decorations in the gym. Diana quite honestly has no idea who has done all of this but she has to admit that she's impressed.

Her and Leah enter the gym with their arms tightly linked. They both eye up the punch bowl, knowing that it's far too earlier for any such shenanigans (such as spiking the drinks with alcohol) to happen.

The generic pop song blasting over the speakers is so loud that you can barely hear what anyone is saying, but given that almost everybody is dancing it appears that people seem to be having fun. Which is far more than Diana could say for herself if Leah wasn't here along side her.

The two girls park themselves down at a table and discretely take sips from their flasks. They share a knowing glance with each other as they silently confirm that they won't be sharing these drinks with anyone- whether they get caught or not.

"Diana? I didn't think you were coming." Jessica points out when she spots the blonde. Her arm is wrapped tightly around Mike's, almost as if she's assuring that he won't make an attempt to escape from her. The boy himself doesn't saying anything, looking far too nervous to speak up in Diana's presence. It's safe to say that he finds the girl slightly off putting- which is putting it lightly.

"I wasn't, but Leah here convinced me." She points her thumb in the direction of the girl next to her, who looks less than interested in the concept of joining this conversation.

Leah raises her hand awkwardly and gives the brunette a half-hearted wave.

Jessica gives her a tight lipped smile in return before turning back to Diana. She looks her up and down and frowns when she realises that the blonde is wearing a suit. The girl clearly has taste when it comes to fashion, given the advice she had when she tagged along on the trip to Port Angeles, so she can't comprehend why she hadn't put that taste into her own outfit. "You're wearing a suit." She points out.

Leah quirks her eyebrow up at the tone the girl uses. "She is, do you have a problem with that?" Her face is flat as she stares at her expectantly.

"No, no. Not at all." Jessica replies quickly. "It's nice."

Diana knows Jessica more than she'd ever admit out loud. She's nice enough, however she doesn't really put much thought into what comes out of her mouth. Which is how she can sometimes be misunderstood.

The blonde gives Jessica a smile. "Well, it was nice seeing you." She tells the girl, before turning back to face Leah- who is still giving Jessica a major side eye.

"Well, she was nice." Leah comments through gritted teeth when the two of them are alone once more.

Diana laughs. "She's harmless." It's rare for her to say anything of the sort, as she practically hates everyone (present company excluded), but she isn't going to hate someone who hasn't done anything to her.

"Just so you know, I like your suit." The taller girl tells Diana honestly. Her fingers absentmindedly brush over the corsage on her wrist, fiddling with the petals of the white flower at the centre. "I couldn't imagine you wearing anything else."

Leah's deep, brown eyes reflect the light of the scarce spotlights dotted around the room. It honestly looks like there are little stars in them. Her brow isn't slightly furrowed because of the momentarily forgotten worries she has and she looks more relaxed than Diana has ever seen her before. From head to toe, Leah practically glowing.

Diana laughs softly at her words. "I know, you wouldn't have let me leave the shop if you didn't like it." She reminds the girl, resisting the urge to tuck a stand of her silky, smooth hair behind her ear. "And just so you know, that dress looks like it was made specifically for you." It's hard to tell under the dim lighting but Diana could almost swear that she sees a blush spread across Leah's cheeks.
