"Do you want to watch or play?" Esme asks the slayer as she returns from the woods. The woman's usual dazzling, but surprisingly gentle smile for a vampire, is plastered onto her face as she offers up the ball.

Diana wants so desperately to play and show these freaks who's boss however she really can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen. "I'll just watch for now." She hums, standing to the side of the makeshift pitch with her sister. At the very least she can get a good sense of what these vampires are capable of.

They're fast. They're most certainly faster than her but perhaps not the wolves. Not to mention that Edward does indeed seem to be the fastest of them, just as Emmett had said. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be all that much for her to watch out for. She can tell from their steps that they aren't all that well versed in hand to hand combat- other than Jasper who has been on high on her lists of threats since she first laid eyes on him.

Diana eyes up the vampire who whacks the next pitch. There is always some kind of ferocity radiating from him and she would know- after all it takes one to know one.

Alice gasps out of nowhere. "Stop! I didn't see them." Everyone faces and turns to the short girl in confusion. Edward, of course, immediately races to Bella's side and they all gather around first base. "They're travelling so quickly."

"The nomads?" The slayer hums. She should have known that her life couldn't be made simple.

Rosalie frowns and crosses her arms in her sister's direction. "You said they left the county."

"They did, I tracked them right up to the borders." Diana informs them, rolling up her sleeves so that her tattooed weapons are on display. She feels her whole body shift, as it always does when a threat is heading her way. Her heart pounds in her chest as pure adrenaline pumps through her system.

Alice nods, knowing that they had in fact left. "But they heard us...." She looks over to Edward and Bella worriedly. "And changed their minds."

The blonde tuts. She wants nothing more than to fight these blood thirsty freaks and get back to living her normal life but Bella is her highest priority. "Come on, we're going now." Diana effortlessly throws Bella over her shoulder and motions to head off but she is stopped by Carlisle.

"There's no time." He argues.

She places Bella back on the ground and frowns. If it can't be helped then she's just going to have to slay them all when they get here before they can even lay a finger on her or her sister.

Edward turns to Diana. "Take your top off." He orders her as he pulls out the bobble in the brunette's hair.

Diana looks to him in fury. "You take your top off." She has half a mind to slay him along with the rest of them. Why on earth would he ask her something like that at a moment like this?

"That's a good idea actually." Carlisle hums, turning to the slayer expectantly. He motions for her to take off her jumper.

"Hell no." What are they even trying to do? Throw her into the arms of the beast half naked whilst they all make their great escape? "I think I'm a few centuries too young for you, besides I'm not into leeches.

Rosalie can't help but laugh at the girl's stubbornness even at a time like this but her face quickly hardens. "He means that we can't smell you, Xena." She informs the slayer. "If you give your jumper to Bella then it might cover up her scent- I can smell her across the field."

"Oh, why didn't you just say so?!" Diana asks them incredulously. She rips the jumper off her body and hands it over to Bella. Her sister is a good bit taller than her but given that she's a lot skinnier it should fit just fine. The slayer is left in just her leggings and a sports bra in the freezing weather but with all of the adrenaline pumping through her body she isn't cold in the slightest.
