Whilst Diana is glad that her and Bella are on speaking terms again, she's not exactly thrilled that she has been forced into joining her sister and her friends' shopping trip. Jessica and Angela are looking around for dresses to wear to the dance. Bella has spun some kind of lie about going to Phoenix, so she has managed to worm her way out of going.
Diana just sits on one of the chairs and plays snake on her phone in between messaging Leah. She doesn't pay much attention to the two younger girls trying on their dresses.
"I think this halter makes my boobs look big. What do you think, Bella?" Jessica asks the brunette, who is paying very little attention to anything- her thoughts appearing to be occupied by something else.
Outside the window, a group of rowdy looking frat boys peer through the window of the shop. They gawk at Jessica in her low-cut dress. Diana snaps her head up from her phone and scowls at the boys, not that they notice. Her eyes don't return to her phone until they finally continue walking down the street.Jessica's face flushes red, embarrassed by the attention she was receiving from the group. "Bella?" She asks, pushing for some kind of commentary on her dress.
"It looks great." Bella replies absently, barely glancing at her friend.
Diana's eyebrow quirks up at this. Why did she even agree to come if she is less than interested in helping her friends pick out a dress from the dance? She'd thought it was weird for her sister to agree to go shopping, especially for dresses for a dance she isn't even going to. Everytime Jessica and Angela come out in a new dress, she just gives the same unoriginal answer.
"You said that about the last five dresses." Jessica whines, also picking up on Bella's disinterest.
Angela gives the brunette an empathetic smile. "You're not very good at this, are you?"
Bella shrugs.
Jessica huffs, clearly fed up with her new friend's disinterest, so instead she turns towards Diana. Hoping for some constructive criticism from the girl who has no problem speaking her mind, she marches over to the blonde. "Diana, what do you think? And please don't tell me that it looks great."
In all honesty, Diana does think that the dress looks great on Jessica- as did all of the others. She may not be too keen on the girl but she can't deny that she's attractive. "I think it looks nice, honestly." The slayer replies, the tips of her ears turning red as she avoids eye contact with the girl. "But I liked the second one you tried on the best."
"Me too." Angela nods in agreement.
"Though this dress does suit you a lot as well." Diana tells her. "I think you'll look great no matter which one you choose."
Jessica grins upon finally receiving advice on which dress to choose and looks back at Bella. "See? That's the kind of thing you're supposed to say!" She scolds the girl lightly.
"Maybe I should just go check out the book store and meet you at the restaurant later." Bella suggests, collecting her things and getting up.
Diana hums. So that's why Bella agreed to come along, she's looking for something- probably relating to Edward and the Cullens. She debates trying to stop her sister from getting even more involved, but it's clear to her now that she's not going to stop until she gets her answers. Maybe this way she will discover that the Cullens are dangerous on her own and choose to stay away from them.
"You sure?" Angela asks, feeling a little uneasy about splitting up.
Bella nods and heads out with Diana hot on her tail. "I'll be alright on my own, you know." She frowns, hearing her sister's footsteps behind her.
