He looked at her carefully: "You remember what I said to you the last time you were here?" She nodded. "Yes Master, I remember." "And yet here you are as my future daughter-in-law." "I'm sorry that I ultimately didn't follow your instructions. But what I'm not sorry at all that as a member of the Bangtan Dragons family, I've already been able there several times to save lives and overcome conflict situations." He raised his hand and she immediately fell silent. "I don't want to deny your contribution to the clan. That's exactly why I got you at that time. You are without a doubt an excellent doctor. But that doesn't change my opinion that women at the top represent a weak point, make the clan vulnerable and are therefore a danger." "I can understand your motives. However, I assure you that Suga and the boys have prepared me adequately. I feel and have already proven that I can't be defeated so easily." The old man nodded briefly and then sat down behind his desk. "Sit down." Hee-Jin sat down on a chair in front of the desk. "How do you imagine your future role as the wife of the master of the Bangtan Dragons?" he asked her critically. "First and foremost, my job is to support my husband in every way and to provide him with advice and support. However, I can do this in many ways. I will definitely continue to take care of the clan's medical care as a doctor. Otherwise, I will do everything to protect the clan, in my own way." It seemed to her that her last sentence flashed a smile across his otherwise serious face. "Just try a little more to trust your son and maybe even more to trust me." she said at the end and looked at him pleadingly. He sighed, barely audible. "Well, I've noticed that since my son has been with you, he doesn't have so much nonsense in mind anymore and has become more responsible. He is now aware of his leadership role and, to my surprise, has accepted it more and more. Admittedly, you have a very positive influence, and not just on my son. I also appreciate your medical skills." He paused, then continued quietly and thoughtfully: "My wife would have liked you, she would have been thrilled. You are very similar to her in many ways and, fortunately for you, not in some things. So I will despite my misgivings, I give you both my blessing." Surprised by his last words, she looked at him in disbelief. "Master, um, excuse me, did I understand you correctly? You ultimately agree to the wedding?" Another smile crossed the old man's face. "Make my son happy and a successful master of the Bangtan Dragons." She jumped up and, overcome with a feeling of happiness and deep gratitude, she bowed deeply. "I will do everything and prove myself worthy of your trust this time." He nodded appreciatively and rose from his desk chair. He walked towards Hee-Jin, who now had tears of happiness running down her cheeks. Now this otherwise so fearsome man stood in front of her with a smile and gently dried her tears with his handkerchief. Then he leaned forward and gave her a loving kiss on the forehead. "We should let my son back in," he said finally and furtively wiped himself with the handkerchief the eyes. "Send my son back in." Only Hee-Jin could hear a slight tremor in his voice. Suga stormed in angrily and looked at Hee-Jin first. "You cry? What the hell did he do to you?" he blurted out and looked at his father angrily. "Stop Suga, everything's fine. I'm so happy." She ran to Suga and threw herself into his arms." Suga, completely confused, wrapped his arms around her while she hid her head on his shoulder. He looked at his father, who quickly turned away so that his son wouldn't see his eyes, which were moist with emotion "Can someone fucking tell me what's going on here?" Hee-Jin beamed at him with her moist eyes. "We spoke out and your father gave us his blessing." Suga stared at her in disbelief and then looked at his father, who was standing at the window with his back turned to them. All he could say was a guttural "You can go. I want to be alone now." So Hee-Jin happily pulled the still completely confused Suga out of the room.
Two weeks later, Hee-Jin unexpectedly received the following message on her cell phone:
Jimin: Hi, are you free this afternoon?
Yes, sure. What is it about?
Jimin: Need your advice. At my place at 4 p.m.?
That's okay. See you later.
She was a little surprised, but as she thought a little harder she remembered that Jimin had been a little quieter than usual lately and was out and about more often. What did he have to say to her? In the afternoon, right on time, she rings Jimin's doorbell next door. He opened it and she immediately saw that something was bothering him, and there was also an open bottle of vodka and a glass on the table. "Hey, Jimin, what's wrong? Have you been drinking?" She looked at him worriedly. "My life is...let's say...a little complicated right now." He smiled slightly embarrassed and seemed a bit nervous. "Ok, let me guess. It's a woman's fault, isn't it?" Hee-Jin looked at Jimin with a grin. "Um...yeah. How do you know that?" She smiled lovingly at him, "Oh you know, brother. I've known you long enough and there are only a few things that can upset you. There's a woman standing at the top." He blushed slightly and replied embarrassedly: "Touché." They sat down and first had a drink. Then Hee-Jin looked at Jimin expectantly and Jimin began to talk.
