Jimin's story

"It was a few weeks ago when I met her for the first time. It was late when I was out and about in a neighbourhood known for its street gangs. I was visiting a small snack bar when three hooded guys dressed in black entered the snack bar and demanded that the owner hand over some money. I stayed cool at first and didn't do anything. After the owner had handed over his money, the smallest and daintiest of them came up to me and said he had to threaten me too. You don't intimidate me that quickly, especially not half a portion like that. But when I still didn't react, he started to attack me. I thought it would be a short fight but my opponent demanded everything from me. I was particularly surprised when I realised that my opponent was a young woman. Her fighting style was impressive, she moved as fast as lightning and as smoothly as a cat. However, the other guys took too long and ran away. She actually managed to put me out of action for a short time and then ran off too. I had to let the whole thing sink in. In the days that followed, I couldn't get this woman with her impressive fighting style and admittedly pretty face out of my head." He smiled sheepishly. "I actually deliberately went back to the neighbourhood in the hope of meeting her again. It was a few days before I bumped into her and her gang again. When she ran away, she ran straight into me and I just held on to her. She looked at me in shock at first, but then seemed to recognise me. Because she finally hissed at me "You again?" I smiled at her, but before I could say anything, she had knocked me to the ground with a skilful turn and her skilful throwing technique. Then she disappeared into the darkness again. After that, I was out and about in the neighbourhood as often as I could, watching her and the gang. But once she got into a fight with the wrong guy and seemed to be injured. Her gang mates just abandoned her. I then helped her to escape. But instead of thanking me, she put me on my back again and snarled at me, telling me to leave her alone, she didn't need my help. Then she was gone again. This cheeky brat is simply fascinating and never lets go of my thoughts. When I met her again, she was actually travelling alone. Without the gang, she wasn't quite so hostile towards me after I explained to her that I was simply fascinated by her fighting style. She told me that her name is Kang Jong-Hi and that she is 19 years old. I told her my name and how old I am. I didn't tell her anything about the Bangtan Dragons at first. So we met up from time to time. We talked about fighting styles, her life in the gang and this and that. We usually met at the snack bar for a meal. Until I recently found her crying in a back alley with a black eye and a burst lower lip. Of course, I immediately wanted to know who had done this to her. She just hissed at me why I hadn't told her that I was a member of the Bangtan Dragons, that I had got her in trouble with her gang leader and that she was forbidden to meet with me anymore. I offered her my help, but she refused. I could literally feel that she was scared. Now she's disappeared without a trace and I'm very worried about her and also reproachful because she got into trouble because of me. I don't know what to do now. I can't just abandon her." Jimin looked at Hee-Jin, looking for help. "Do you love her?" Hee-Jin asked, looking at Jimin seriously. He blushed at this very direct question and became quite embarrassed. "If you ask me so directly......Yes, I do .... Kind of."  "Then what are you sitting here for? Go and find your Jong-Hi. If anyone can help her, it's you." She smiled encouragingly at Jimin. He looked at Hee-Jin with relief and gratitude. "Thank you! Thank you for listening. I wouldn't have known who to talk to about this otherwise." "Yes, that's what family and little sisters are for." She gave Jimin a quick hug and a loving kiss on the cheek. Before she left, she said: "If you need help with the search, ask Tae and BoGum. BoGum in particular knows his way around these small street gangs.  With his help, you're sure to find them." She turned round again in the doorway and smiled at him: "I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Keep me posted." She gave him a quick hug goodbye and a loving kiss on the cheek.
