It was well past midnight when a hotel employee suddenly burst into the room and excitedly asked for Dr. Choi. Hee-Jin jumped up, "What happened?" "Mrs. Kim sent me. She wants me to come right away. "The baby is coming!" she said excitedly. Hee-Jin turned to Eun-Ji, "Will you come with me? I could use some help. She nodded and followed Hee-Jin. She instructed the clerk to bring towels, hot water, a kettle, hand sanitizer, and a pair of sharp scissors. Then the two women rushed over to Ra-on. She was kneeling on the floor on all fours, panting. After the contractions stopped, she informed Hee-Jin. Her water had broken and the contractions were coming at relatively short intervals. Hee-Jin examined Ra-on carefully while Eun-Ji disinfected the scissors in the kettle. "It won't be long now," Hee-Jin realized. She helped Ra-on into a better position and Eun-Ji supported her. About 20 minutes later, Ra-on's loud cry could be heard through the corridors of the hotel, and after a short pause, the loud protest of a newborn baby. The celebrating party didn't notice anything and neither did the new father.
Exhausted but happy, Ra-on held her daughter in her arms. "She is so cute," Eun-Ji said enthusiastically. Everything revolved around little Eunjoo until Hee-Jin asked Ra-on: "Do you want to tell NamJoon right away or wait until tomorrow?" "Do you think he will even realize what happened?" "I think so," Hee-Jin replied. "Then take her with you." "What do you mean?" The two women looked at her with irritation. "Take Eunjoo as proof and show it to him," Ra-on smiled. "Are you sure?" Ra-on nodded, "I'll rest for a while. Go ahead." Hee-Jin wrapped little Eunjoo warmly in fresh towels and returned with her and Eun-Ji to the wedding party. On the way, she ran into Suga, who was very excited from the alcohol. "There you are! We missed you at the party!" he shouted, beaming with joy. But when he tried to put his arms around Hee-Jin's neck, she pulled away and replied briefly: "I was busy." She showed the little bundle to Suga. He looked at little Eunjoo, completely confused, and then at Hee-Jin. She had to laugh at his shocked expression. "This is Ra-on and NamJoon's daughter. Don't worry, we still have time." You could see the relief on his face. She gave him a loving kiss while he looked back at the sleeping girl in Hee-Jin's arms. "Suga darling, would you please be so kind as to bring NamJoon here. Tell him there's a surprise for him." He nodded and went back to the banquet hall. But Namjoon didn't come alone. Besides Suga, he was accompanied by Jimin and Jin, who had already been looking for his Eun-Ji. Like Suga before him, Namjoon stared wide-eyed and stunned at the little bundle on Hee-Jin's arm. "May I introduce your daughter Eunjoo?" Hee-Jin said with a smile and held the bundle out to him. But since Namjoon didn't move, Jimin pushed past him. "She's so cute! Can I take her?" He carefully took the little girl from Hee-Jin and beamed at her. But in the end, Namjoon protested and Jimin reluctantly gave him his daughter. Meanwhile, Eun-ji gave Jin a meaningful look and he looked at her questioningly with wide eyes. She nodded briefly and put her hand on her stomach with a smile. The others were so busy with little Eunjoo that no one noticed the message. Or let's say almost no one. Suga stood a bit in the background and, unlike the others, had no eyes for the little girl, but watched the silent dialog between Jin and Eun-Ji and how Jin lovingly embraced his fiancée. He became thoughtful again and eventually left the wedding party in an unspecified direction.
"Where did you go yesterday evening? You suddenly disappeared. I missed you," Hee-Jin asked Suga the next day as they drove back to the villa together. "I needed time to think," he replied briefly, looking absent-minded. Hee-Jin knew that there was no point in pestering him with questions. When he was busy with something, he withdrew and was very unapproachable. So the goodbye was very short. On the one hand, she was sad, but on the other hand, she had known him and his mood swings long enough to deal with them. When he was ready again, he would suddenly reappear. Longing and love would drive him back into her arms. Still, she sighed as she looked after him. I wonder what was on his mind this time? She wished she could look into his head to see what was on his mind. Although she knew him quite well, he remained inscrutable and mysterious in many ways. But that was what made him so interesting. She loved this man with all his dark and light sides, his secrets and quirks. "Hee-Jin?" "Yes?" Torn from her thoughts, she looked up, lost in thought. "Are you okay?" Jimin asked. She nodded briefly. "Can I help you?" She shook her head. "No, I don't think so." She walked past him into the house, lost in thought. He looked after her and shook his head.
