We went alone on an awesome glowing skeleton horse or bull. I don't really know, but we met up with Zanac halfway between both camps. "I am glad to meet you, Sorcerer King." Zanac got off from his horse. "I am Zanac Val-"

"Don't." I let out as I teleported off our horse.

"We are glad to meet you." Ainz nodded. "I am the-"

"He knows," I whined and Ainz patted my head.

"Are you thirsty?" Ainz asked me as he got a jug of water out of a portal then also set up a very long table with two chairs and poured out three drinks.

"Can you add sweets to it?" I asked.

"If you add candy floss, it does something," Ainz answered as he was carefully pouring.

"What's that?" I let out and he spilled the water as his jaw was so far down making Zanac panic.

'SHE DOESN'T KNOW?! I NEED SOME MADE!' Ainz yelled in his mind.

"I can make it," I reminded him.

"But I would like to gift it to you," He retorted a little quietly and I grinned at that as I took my drink.

"Don't keep me waiting long!" I exclaimed.

Ainz patted my head and handed Zanac the other drink while he left the other one since he didn't actually need it. "Thank you for your hospitality." Zanac nodded.

"Now, the preparations for our talk are complete." Ainz hummed. "Wait, one second."

"Go on and have fun." Ainz patted my head and Zanac watched as I ran over to the large stone with a butterfly flying around it. "What did you wish to speak about? Shall I discuss why our invasion is just?" Ainz sat down.

"Your Majesty, there's something I'd like to ask." Zanac hummed. "Why are you doing something this cruel? Why won't you accept our plea of surrender?"

"Because there is no merit," Ainz stated.

"Merit?" Zanac asked.

"We will sacrifice your kingdom to show the world that it is foolish to oppose the Sorcerer Kingdom," Ainz explained. "To that end, we will enter your royal capital after decimating your forces and turn everything into a mountain of rubble. We will leave everything like that for hundreds or even thousands of years..."

"In this way, stories about the folly of going against the Sorcerer Kingdom will be passed down for all eternity," Ainz informed him.

"Why have you chosen to do so? There are other ways to have Your Majesty's prestige known throughout the world." Zanac retorted. "Why are your actions so close-minded?"

I ran up to Ainz to show him the butterfly that landed on my hand. "My goal is...happiness." Ainz placed his hand on my head as I grinned.

"Happiness?" Zanac asked as he noted how relaxed he seemed to be next to me. He didn't look like a monster trying to kill them all, but a father trying to do his best for his daughter.

"In the end, isn't the ultimate goal of all creatures happiness?" Ainz asked.

"So you are saying it's fine to take away the happiness of others for the sake of your own?" Zanac asked.

"Isn't that how it works?" I asked surprising him. "Humans hate monsters, monsters hate humans, but weirdly humans hate humans and...monsters don't hate me..."

"If I can bring happiness to the ones I treasure, I don't care about what happens to anyone else," Ainz added. "If your people could only achieve happiness by making the people of another country suffer, what would you do? Would you tell your people to give up on that happiness?"
