The next day, Ainz explained that we are doing this to get to the higher ranks to get info on this world.

We also need money.

We were going to take our first request today. I walked out of our room and yawned and then I felt myself being picked up and my mask was put on my face.

"Don't ever take that off, and if you have to say my name call me Momon instead of Ainz, and your name is now Ruby." Ainz informed me and I nodded.

Ainz was looking at the requests on the board and I turned around on his shoulder and saw three men staring at us. "Looks at his armour." One pointed at Ainz.

"Just how much did it cost?" One smirked.

"He's just a rich kid with his little sister." Another one added.

No, he's a skeleton with a little demon girl he adopted.

Ainz is still staring at the board of requests. 'I can't read any of this, Nabe can't read either.' I heard him think.

"I will take his job." He took one off before I could read them for him.

"I'm sorry, but this request is for a Mythril plate adventurer." The woman at the counter apologised.

"I know, that's why I chose it." Ainz informed her.

"Liar, you can't re-" He held up a sweet to me shutting me up.

"You have to follow the rules." The woman at the counter informed us with a stern tone.

"It's a stupid rule." Ainz argued.

"If you fail the request there is a chance lots of people will die. Your daughter is very young as well, would you want to put her in danger?" The woman asked with a frown.

"My partner and daughter are third-tier magic casters." Ainz informed her.

"Third at that age!?" Someone yelled.

"I am a warrior equal to both of their levels, we want to do a job worthy of our skills." Ainz explained.

"I'm sorry, but according to the rules you cannot take the job." She sighed.

"Then it can't be helped. Sorry for sounding selfish, can you give us the hardest copper request instead?" Ainz asked her.

"Will do." She answered happily and went off to get it.

'Yes! I guided her to what I wanted!' Ainz exclaimed in his mind.

"You know I can read, right?" I asked and he was silent, he must have forgotten but just didn't want to admit it.

"Would you like us to help with the job?" A man asked, and there were three other people with him.

We got the request and followed them upstairs to some empty room with a table and chairs, Ainz put me down on a seat next to him.

"I am the leader of the Swords of Darkness, Peter Mauk." The leader notified us. "That's our ranger, Lukrut Volve."

"Hi." The guy smiled at Nabe while blushing.

"Poor guy, she will only let you near to stab you." I mumbled so the others didn't hear and Ainz agreed by sighing.

"And this guy is our druid, Dyne Woodwonder." He pointed to a very buff guy who has not dropped his smile even once.

"Woodwonder? Does he make wonderful wood or has wonder wood?" I asked.

'Even the names of the people are innuendos, what were the designers thinking?' Ainz looked like he wanted to die in that moment even though he was already dead, well undead.

"Lastly, our magic caster, Ninya." Peter pointed to a girl around my age, she has really short brown hair and blue eyes.

"Nice to meet you." She grinned at us, but mostly looked at me.

"This guy is a talent holder." Lukurt pointed at her.

I could tell she was a girl from her mind since she said she hoped we won't notice that she is a female for some reason.

'Talent holders are what people are called that are born into this world with a special ability, you probably have one as well, Aria.' Ainz explained to me in his mind.

"He has magic affinity. It normally takes him four years to learn magic while it normally takes eight for others." Peter explained and Ninya blushed in embarrassment.

"That's nothing, La- Ruby can use a spell the second she learns the name of it." Nabe bragged and they all looked at me shocked except Ainz who was panicking in his mind.

"It came with a drawback, she didn't have control over the the spells they kept casting hurting people around her. She has a lot of magic so it went on for a while until we were able to get an item that lowers her magic so she can control it." Ainz explained. "And we rather have her hide the ability."

"Well, you two are really similar, I know you will be good friends." Peter grinned. "Ninya is actually quite famous so Ruby will be famous quite soon as well, but we promise we won't speak about it."

Aimz nodded to him gratefully. "There is someone more famous than me here." Ninya added.

"You must be talking about Master Balear." Dyne the wonderful wood guy added.

'Talk again and I will cut your wood off!' I heard Nabe scream in her mind.

"Huh? Well, this is Nabe and this is my daughter Ruby and I'm Momon. Please take care of us, so what kind of power does this Balear have?" Ainz asked.

"You must all not be from here." Peter smiled at us.

"Yes, we arrived yesterday." Ainz answered.

"Nphiera Balear is the grandson of a famous pharmacist here, his talent allows him to use all magic items." Peter explained.

"That human sounds dangerous." Nabe whispered to us.

"About our current job, our objective is to eliminate the monsters near this city." Peter informed us.

"A monster-hunting expedition?" Ainz asked.

"It isn't a job that was particularly requested." Peter nervously explained. "Depending on the strength of the monster the guild will receive money from the city to reward us with."

'I see it's like earning money by collecting item drops.' Ainz said in his mind confusing me.

"You mean like picking up coins that people dropped? That sounds kind of sad." I looked at Ainz.
