"Now Cocytus, I ask you, how could you have won?" Ainz asked as he got me down from his shoulder onto his lap and made sure my cloak was on properly because it was getting a little cold in here.

"I underestimated the Lizardmen, I should have acted more cautiously" Cocytus answered.

"That is correct, you must never underestimate someone no matter how weak they are, you take note of this as well" Ainz pat my head.

'Even though I don't think she really needs to but its better to keep her cautious' I read his mind.

"Is there anything else?" Ainz asked.

"Yes, I think, I may have had insufficient information on the enemy's strength, I have learned that without taking this into consideration the chances of my victory were lowered no matter what I did" Cocytus answered.

I was a little confused, "He means he was doomed to fail from the beginning" Ainz explained to me.

Cocytus told us the rest of the things that added up to his loss, Ainz had to simplify it for me because he used some words like penultimate and callipygian, he wouldn't explain the second word for some reason.

"Outstanding!" Ainz exclaimed surprising me.

"Except for that Elder Lich, they were all spawn undead, their demise has absolutely no effect on Nazarick, and seeing that you have learned from this, I will be gaining back from the whole ordeal" Ainz explained.

"Thank you so much, Lord Ainz" Cocytus thanked him.

"Now, I still have to punish you since you lost" Ainz took a moment to think, "You're not allowed to have Aria call you uncle for a week!"

"That's a lame punishment" I commented.

Cocytus actually looked depressed, "And you will clean up your mess by exterminating the Lizard Men, without relying on anyone!" Ainz added then looked to me, 'Better?' He asked in his mind.

"Yeah, you sound like a ruler now" I gave him a thumbs up.

"Its a fantastic idea, Cocytus will expunge his sin along with the Lizard Men!" Albedo's wings flapped frantically.

"Is she excited?" I asked.

"Yeah, probably not the good kind" Ainz mumbled the last part.

"Lord Ainz, I have a request I would like to make-" Cocytus's words either upset or surprised everyone.

"You, who has brought defeat to glorious Nazarick, dare to petition to Lord Ainz!?" Albedo was about to snap, "Remember where your place is! COCY-"

"Albedo, it's fine" Ainz spoke up and she immediately calmed down, "Cocytus, tell me what your request is?"

Cocytus stood up, "I don't want to kill all the Lizard Men, I beg of you to show them mercy."

Albedo went to scream, "What's your reason?" I asked interested, "Do they have some cool powers? Amazing sweets?"

Ainz pat my head and laughed, "I would like to hear your reason as well, if it's something that benefits the Great Tomb of Nazarick, I'm all ears."

"You mean holes?" I asked.

Ainz poked at the side of his head, "I'm all holes" He corrected himself.

"There is a chance that valiant warriors will appear among their numbers, in my judgment, it will be more beneficial to us to have them pledge loyalty to Nazarick" Cocytus explained.

"More friends? Sounds fun" I grinned.

"That indeed is a convincing proposal, and even Aria likes the sound of it, if I were to use the Lizard Men corpses to create undead, they would only be on the same level as human corpses, so there is no reason to insist on their deaths" Ainz explained.

"However, it would be more cost-effective" Ainz informed him.

"So you're cheap?" I asked Ainz.

"Making them into undead would be more beneficial to me" Ainz tried his best to ignore my question, but his mind couldn't keep away from it, 'Am I cheap? I mean I like to save money, I only ever spent it on games.'

Ainz looked down a little sad, "Now Cocytus, if you have nothing to say you wouldn't mind exterminating them, yes?" He asked.

"My lord, what if we were to use the Lizard Men in a governability experiment?" Demiurge suggested.

"A what now?" I asked.

"The time will likely come when we will be handling different races and powers, so we should perform an experiment in governing" Demiurge explained, "In which, we rule the Lizard Men's village by means other than fear."

"A terrific suggestion, Demiurge!" Ainz exclaimed.

"Thank you very much" Demiurge smirked.

"We will then accept Demiurge's proposal, and shift from exterminating the Lizard Men to occupying them" Ainz announced.

"Yes, my lord!" They all responded.

"Now then Cocytus, your punishment will be changed, you will govern the Lizard Men and instil loyalty towards Nazarick within them, but no using fear" Ainz informed him.

"As you wish, I, Cocytus, promise to work hard enough to measure up to the great mercy you have shown me, Lord Ainz" Cocytus nodded.

"Good now, everyone, it's time to move out, we will use one team as a decoy and use another to flaunt our power" Ainz stood up.

"So we are going to assert our dominance?" I asked remembering when he explained what it meant.

"Sure" Ainz put me on his shoulder, and we teleported outside the room.

"Did you mess up?" I asked because we didn't teleport that far, he then shushed me and put his head to do the door so I did the same thing and I could hear them all talking.

"So you're saying that everything is going according to Lord Ainz's plan?" Albedo asked probably Demiurge.

"Leave it to Ainz-sama! Lady Aria can read his mind, so that must have been what they were talking about when they spoke between themselves!" Aura exclaimed.

"I asked if you were cheap" I mumbled shocked.

"Does that mean Ainz-sama assume ahead of time that Cocytus would lose?" Mare asked.

"He may have been entertaining the idea that Cocytus would probe the Lizard Men's strength, and recommend whether or not they could beat them" Demiurge explained.

"He is truly incredible!" Shalltear voice nearly broke my eardrums.

Ainz started wobbling away, we made it to his room and he face-planted onto his sheets then started to laugh.

I landed on my back, "They really think we are that great?" I asked Ainz.

"Yeah" He nodded immediately and rolled onto his back, I had to roll out of the way of him, "Welcome to my world, I'm happy to finally have someone who feels the same."

"But that was amazing, I never thought Cocytus would actually be able to learn from his defeat, so it's different now" Ainz rambled about things that didn't make sense to me.

"Its about time to move out" Ainz sat up then stuffed his face back into the bed and started to sniff.

"Dad, what are you doing?" I asked, and he paused, 'Yep, she thinks I'm a freak now.'

I laughed, "There's a floral scent, have they sprinkled perfume on the bed?" Ainz asked.

"Albedo said she put her scent on the bed or something, I think she did it by laying in it" I mumbled, he then flipped off the bed onto the floor.
