Little one's pov

I woke up in the morning when someone gently tapped my arm. I groaned softly and opened my eyes. Alpha Darius stood before me.

"Good morning little one. I brought you breakfast and wanted to let you know that I have to run some business in a nearby town. I shouldn't be long but I just wanted you to know." He nervously scratched the back of his neck until he cleared his throat.

Hard to believe that in front of me is Alpha Darius Wright, who is also called a monster. He should be the Alpha who makes you afraid without doing anything. Yes I know who he is, I have heard of him even before I was captured. I just didn't remember it before.

"You are free to move around my room but I would like you not to leave here. You are still weak and the pack doesn't know you. I don't want you to get hurt. Okay?" He asked and I nodded.

Alpha Darius looked thoughtful for a long time before continuing

"Oh and Hazel is here. The girl who was with you in your old pack. She was worried about you. She could be here with you if you want?" He asked hopefully but was disappointed when I just shrugged.

"Could you speak. Please?" He asked, looking me in the eye. I knew he was frustrated and something stirred inside me and I wanted to please him.

"She can come." I answered briefly but even that was enough to put a big smile on Alpha's face.

"Good! I have to go now. Remember to eat and I'll go get Hazel." He said seeming to hesitate about something. Finally he shook his head, smiled and left the room.

Hazel. The girl who was forced into the basement with me, the one who has nursed my wounds for years. One of the reasons why my suffering did not end. Not that I hold a grudge against her, she was and still is really young and trying to stay alive.

There was a knock at the door and I asked the person to come in.

"Hey you." Hazel greeted and entered the room. "Nice to see you awake I was worried."

I didn't know what to say to her. I sat up and ate as much breakfast as I could. Hazel sat next to me and we were just silent.

After I had eaten, Hazel put the tray on the table and then sat back next to me.

"How are you?" She asked after a silence.

"Fine I guess." I answered and looked out the window. I hope to be able to go outside soon.

"That's good. You've been through a lot but we're safe now." She said and sighed when I didn't answer.

"I brought a laptop, do you want to watch something?" Hazel asked excitedly.

"Umm okay." I answered. And she got the show rolling.

We had been watching the show for over an hour when I needed to go to the bathroom. Hazel offered to help me but I refused. She has seen me in many different situations and how pathetic my life has been so I want to get through this myself.

I got up slowly and carefully, started walking with wobbly steps only when I knew my legs would hold me up. I finally got to the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I did my business and started to wash my hands when I made a mistake and looked in the mirror.

The shock paralyzed my whole body as I stared at my face in the mirror. My breathing quickened and my hands shook as I touched my face.

My face is bruised and my cheeks are hollow. My white hair was a mess, Alpha Gregor always cut my hair with big scissors. My eyes showed how empty I was inside, but that's not the reason why I felt a panic attack creeping up on me.

I haven't felt anything for years and now it feels like all my walls are breaking down. I look just like them..

Suppressed memories tried to break into my mind.

"NO!" I screamed and slammed my fist into the mirror. Pain. I need it to forget.

I was so blinded by my feelings that I didn't hear what the panicked Hazel who came to the bathroom was trying to say. I just kept banging on the mirror. Skin of my arm was broken and blood was running down my arms but I didn't stop.

Suddenly, strong hands grabbed me and stopped me from continuing. I didn't cry, I didn't scream and I didn't fight the person.

"Take it easy." The male said and I couldn't help but obey.

He guided me back to the bed. I sat down and stared at my bloody hands.

"The doctor will come to look at your hands. Have you calmed down?" The male asked and I nodded.

"Good. Darius would bury me alive if something happened to you." He said humorously and I gave him a quick glance.

The blonde noticed this and smiled. He looked kind despite his large size.

"I'm Asher and I'm the Beta. That bonehead Alpha is my cousin, nice to meet you properly." He said with a smile.

The door opened and a man in a white coat came in, I assume he was a doctor.

"Okay, let's see what kind of damage you did." The doctor came in front of me and examined my hands. Next, he cleaned my hands of glass chips and then wrapped them in bandages.

"I want you to keep the bandages on your hands for at least a day. We don't know the condition of your wolf, so the healing will be a little slower. Have you been able to contact him?" The doctor asked and I shook my head.

"Alright. Ask Alpha Darius to contact me if anything comes up." The doctor told Asher and left.

"You should rest. I will wait here with you until Darius returns." Asher said and sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.

I turned my back on him and stared at the wall. The pain in my hands prevented me from sleeping but the pain is familiar, the pain is good. At least it helps me escape reality.

At some point Alpha Darius returned and the punishment I was waiting for never came. He was worried maybe a little angry, but he didn't hit me or lock me up anywhere. He just finally kissed my hands and told me to rest.

I did as I was told and let sleep come.
