Chapter 10

Darius pov

I tossed the last of rogue's bodie onto the pile and turned to the warriors.

"Burn them. The rest know not to attack our pack for a while."

"Yes Alpha!" They answered and got to work.

I craned my neck and started walking towards the packhouse. Fucking rogues, do they have to attack this early in the morning. I have to be honest though, rogue attacks are a serious thing but me and Kane needed this. Violence and fighting.

It's been a little over a week since our mate had a breakdown and I don't know what to do. I'm not good with people.

I have noticed and I hate that he talks and does things when I tell him to. I think he has realized that I'm not going to hurt him but he still acts like he has no will of his own.

"We need to introduce him to the pack." Kane said and I agreed, it can't be put off any longer.

"Meeting today, I expect everyone there at seven in the evening." I mindlinked the pack.

Now I still have to get little one with me and ask if he would agree to visit a professional to talk about his past and traumas.

I decided to go to the common areas to wash the blood off me. I don't want little one to see me like this.

When I was ready I quickly went to the kitchen to get him breakfast and grabbed one flower from the vase. Soft I know, but it has become the way I want to cheer up my mate.

I arrived to my room and was not surprised to find my mate sitting in front of the window staring out.

"Hey. The danger is over and no one was seriously hurt. I brought you something to eat." I said and placed the tray on the table.

My mate thanked me and started eating. I waited quietly until he had eaten. He picked up the flower in his hand and examined it carefully. He has been doing so since I first time brought him a flower.

"I'm having a meeting with the pack tonight. I'd like you to come with me so I can introduce you to everyone. I know the thought might be weird but you are the Luna of this pack" I said looking at his reaction.

"That's fine with me." He replied, continuing to examine the flower in fascination.

"And I was wondering if you'd like to talk to a therapist about what's happened to you? It might help." I blurted my question and this time he looked at me.

"Are you gonna be there?" He asked.

"Only if you want me to be." I answered and he was silent for a moment.

"I want you to be there. You better know everything before you fully accept me. If you accept me.." He whispered and oh how I wish I could get my hands on Alpha Gregor soon. Fortunately the meeting with the council is tomorrow.

"I will always want you. Nothing will change that." I answered seriously and it is true.

"We can go today if you want? If it's not too soon?" I asked and he nodded. I smiled and watched as his fingers moved along the surface of the flower.

"Do you like flowers?" I asked out of the blue and his eyes snapped on me. He was still so pale that I noticed the faint blush that appeared on his cheeks.

Little one cleared his throat and focused on the flower again.

"Yes. I- I like all plants and nature. I'm half nature elf." He said and paused. I didn't interrupt him I waited eagerly for him to finally tell me about himself.

"That side of me gets energy from plants, we have special kind of connection with nature. These flowers you brought me means a lot.. When I was there in the basement.. I was cut off from both nature and my wolf." He said glancing at me.

"I'm sure we'll get your wolf back because you'd know if he wasn't there anymore. He just needs more time to heal. You know what. Let's see a therapist today when you're ready and before meeting the pack I'll take you to a special place. What do you say?" I asked hopefully.

He stared into my eyes for a long time until a small almost imperceptible smile appeared on his perfect lips. And I melted.

"Let's do that. I'd just like to take a shower first?" He asked and I offered him my hand. I was so happy when he grabbed my hand without hesitation. I helped him up and started to change my clothes when he disappeared into the bathroom.

"We should have gone with him." Kane was dreaming dirty things.

"Horny bastard. We'll do that later when he's ready." I answered and Kane was sulking in my mind.

"Alpha Darius?" My mate's head peeked through the crack in the door.

"Just Darius. What's wrong little one?" I asked.

"I didn't bring any clothes. Could you give them to me?" He asked and I went to see the clothes that Hazel went to buy for him one day.

"And.. and could I have your shirt? Your scent soothes me.." He mumbled the end but I heard it clearly. I smiled and took the clothes to him.

"Thank you." He said and hurried back inside.

After a while my mate came out of the bathroom and a low growl escaped from me. He looked mouthwatering in my clothes. I shook my head and opened the door for him.

"Let's go little one."
