The Tide of Bone

At the Sun Tree, the hanged bodies were still there. But suddenly, the body dressed like Pike awakens with glowing purple eyes.

Vax: Holy sh...

Percy shoots at the zombie.

Vex: We may want to get out of here.

Ren: Sounds like a plan.

A zombie tries to bite Vax but he quickly dodges.

Vax: Aren't these things supposed to be slow?

They all tackled him but Ren uses his shadow magic to push them away.

Before Ren could help him up, another one tackled him down and tried to bite his face.

Ren: I thought these things were supposed to be weak!

The zombie then bites his right shoulder, causing Ren to scream in pain.

Suddenly Keyleth blows them away with wind magic before helping the Paldalorian up.

Grog: Come on! Let's move!

Ren: Thanks, Key.

Keyleth: You have done the same for me.

The zombies from behind growl at them, making the two quickly catch up with the others.

Scanlan: In case I wasn't clear before, the undead freak me out. *Looks at Cassandra* I mean, why? *Gasp*

A zombie pins a woman down and eats her alive.

Woman: *Raspy* Help me.

Scanlan screamed like a girl before the zombie was going to pounce on him, Cassandra came in and saved him by throwing the zombie away.

Grog clears a path through the horde.

Grog: Excuse us. Coming through!

Percy: Everyone, follow Grog!

They enter the ally way where they see more zombies walking towards them.

Keyleth: More of them?

She summons vines to make a wall. The rest quickly stopped as the zombies tried to break through the vines.

Scanlan: How many dead people are in your stupid town, Percy?

Keyleth: Where'd they all come from?

Grog: Uh, the ground. That's where all dead people live.

Ren: For once, I agree with you, Grog.

They then hear more growls coming from somewhere.

Keyleth: Do you hear that?

They hear more zombies arrive behind the vine wall.

Vex: Sounds like hundreds of them.

Percy: Thousands.

Suddenly, they hear growling from behind and quickly see a zombie before it gets sliced in half by Bryn.

Bryn: This way! There's a safe house!

Everyone begins to follow Bryn as the zombies break through. Soon they then see a house in the distance.

Bryn: Inside!

They all enter the house, Keyleth being the last one to enter, tripped to the floor. The group all try to catch their breath as Ren comforts Keyleth.

Everyone sees a light and sees Archie holding a lantern with several rebels standing next to him.
