The Paldalorian [The Legend of Vox Machina X OC]

Fate's Journey

Early in the morning in the streets of Emon, Vex, Vax, and Ren were being chased by two guards.

Guard: Stop!

The three made a quick turn left into an alleyway.

Ren: Do we really have to stop at Gilmore's while we're fugitives?

Vax: We need weapons to take care of that vampire and his wife, and Gilmore's is the only shop we can get some without being seen since it's closed.

Ren: Are you sure this isn't just some excuse to flirt with him?

Vax ignores the Paldalorian's question and turns but quickly notices two more guards blocking the path and backs up.

Guard: Where'd they go?

Vex, Vax, and Ren hide behind a corner before passing the guards. One of the guards noticed them.

Guard: Over here! Come on!

They quickly chase after them but when they make it to the alleyway, they don't see them.

The three finally made it to Gilmore's shop but they stopped at the side of the shop and kneeled to see a way in but it was blocked by bars.

Vex tries to pull it out. She, Vax, and Ren look to the street to see if any guards coming.

Ren: You're up, Key.

Keyleth appears in the form of a squirrel under Ren's cape, climbs down off the Paldorian, and jumps through the bars easily. She turns back to normal and opens the bars by pulling from the other side.

They quickly enter the basement of the shop before the guards arrive at the scene looking for them.

Guard: Come on! They can't be far!

The guards begin to leave the area.

In the Gilmore's Shop, where the lights are out, a trapdoor opens but nobody comes up, then all of a sudden, Vex, Vax, Keyleth, and Ren appear when Ren uncovers his cape over them and turns back to its natural red.

Vex: That's some handy cloak you have, Ren, darling.

Ren: Thanks.

They then begin to look at the shop while being stealthy.

Keyleth: Oh, man, being bad is so exciting.

Suddenly a magic cage under near them and slowly lifts them up as the light turns on. They hear someone clearing their throat and they turn to see Gilmore.

Gilmore: *Winces* Ooh, crime doesn't pay, *smiles* but it is entertaining.

The three look at Gilmore a bit embarrassed. Again, they couldn't tell with Ren because of the helmet.

Ren: Dank Farrik.

Vax: I'm guessing that means "fuck" in Paldalore?

Ren: You could say that.

Gilmore arrives on the first floor and snaps his finger to make the cage disappear. The four land on the floor on top of each other.

They piled on Ren and they all groaned in pain. Except Ren, because he was wearing armor.

Keyleth stands up and looks at Gilmore nervously.

Keyleth: We weren't breaking in or anything, just you, sort of on the run.

Vax, Vex, and Ren get up from the floor and Vax looks at Gilmore.

Vax: A quick stop at your store on our way out of town.
