Hands wrapped around his stomach, held him close, kept him warm. Sweet words whispered into his ear, wiping his tears, kissing his cheek. Vincent granted his wish, he didn't want to be alone tonight, so the wolf agreed to stay with him, to cheer him up. So, here he lay, melted into Vincent's embrace, not alone anymore.
"Shh, cheer up bunny.." Vincent's hushed tone flowed through his ears, making him sniff softly and wipe his tears away. He waited for a moment before continuing, "You cry so easily, really, just because you're lonely you silly boy?" He chuckled, squeezing William between his strong arms.
"Shut up.." William murmured as he climbed deeper into Vincent's lap, his rabbit nose softly twitching against the wolf's neck.
Vincent laughed at his response, wagging his tail as he felt the bunny's warmth on him "Hmm.. promise me you won't freak out.."
"Freak out? About what?" His gentle amber eyes rolled up to look at Vincent, curiously lifting up one of his fluffy black ears.
"Just promise me, bunny." Vincent patted his head, pulling their faces closer.
William stared at him for a moment while nodding leisurely, "... I promise then."
Vincent inhaled nervously before pulling William's collar closer, their noses touching, his heartbeat rapidly increasing.
What's the worst that could happen?
So, with a last quick breath and a hill swallowed in his throat, Vincent pressed their lips together.
