The sun was setting in the small town of Forks, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape as Isabella Swan made her way home from school. Ever since she had discovered the truth about the Cullens – that they were vampires – her mind had been swirling with questions. But there was one particular mystery that continued to nag at her: the enigmatic group of individuals who seemed to always be linked to the Cullens – Sloane, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett.

As Bella walked through the quiet streets of Forks, her thoughts turned to the strange behaviour of these individuals. They were always present at school events, town gatherings, and even on the Reservation. Yet, whenever Bella asked about them, she was met with vague answers and evasive responses.

Frustrated by the lack of information, Bella decided to confront Edward about it. Arriving at the Cullen's house, Bella took a deep breath and knocked on the door. It swung open moments later, revealing Edward standing on the other side, a faint smile playing at his lips.

"Hey, Bella," Edward greeted, his golden eyes sparkling in the fading light. "What brings you here?"

Bella squared her shoulders, determined to get some answers. "I need to talk to you about something," she said, her voice steady. "It's about Sloane, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett."

Edward's smile faltered slightly at the mention of their names, but he quickly regained his composure. "What about them?" he asked, his tone guarded.

Bella took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking. "I've noticed that they're always around, but no one ever talks about them," she began, her voice tinged with frustration. "Who are they? And why are they always linked with your coven?"

Edward's expression remained neutral as he considered Bella's question. He knew that revealing the truth about Sloane and the others would only complicate things further, but he also couldn't ignore Bella's curiosity.

"They're just... human relatives," Edward replied carefully, choosing his words with caution. "They're not like us."

Bella frowned, sensing that there was more to the story than Edward was letting on. "But why won't anyone tell me anything about them?" she pressed; her voice tinged with frustration.

Edward hesitated, his gaze flickering towards the house behind him. "It's complicated," he said evasively. "They prefer to keep to themselves."

Bella's frustration boiled over, her patience wearing thin. "That's not good enough, Edward," she insisted, her voice rising slightly. "I deserve to know the truth."

Edward's eyes darkened with concern as he looked at Bella. He knew that he couldn't reveal the truth about Sloane and the others without putting them all at risk. But he also couldn't ignore Bella's persistence.

Just then, a voice echoed in Edward's mind – Carlisle's voice, reminding him of the consequences of speaking about Sloane and her coven to Bella. He knew that if he revealed the truth, it could have dire consequences for them all.

Taking a deep breath, Edward made a decision. "I'm sorry, Bella," he said, his voice laced with regret. "But I can't tell you any more than that. Sloane and the others are just human relatives who don't really like you."

Bella's heart sank at Edward's words, a wave of hurt washing over her. She had hoped for answers, but all she got was more confusion and frustration.

Feeling defeated, Bella turned away from Edward and began to walk back to her truck. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more going on – something that Edward and the Cullens weren't telling her.

As Bella disappeared into the darkness, Edward watched her go, his heart heavy with guilt. He knew that he had betrayed her trust, but he also knew that he had no other choice. For now, the truth about Sloane and the others would remain a secret, if not for their sake it was for Bella's protection.

The moon hung low in the sky, casting a pale light over the quiet town of Forks as Bella made her way home from another long day at school. Her mind was filled with thoughts of the Cullens and their mysterious companions – Sloane, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett. Despite Edward's vague explanations, Bella couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story than she was being told.

As Bella approached her house, she noticed a figure standing in the shadows near her front door. Squinting in the dim light, she recognized Sloane, the enigmatic girl who always seemed to be avoiding the Cullens. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, unsure of what to expect.

"Sloane?" Bella called out tentatively as she approached, her voice barely above a whisper. "What are you doing here?"

Sloane turned to face Bella, her expression unreadable in the darkness. "I heard you were asking questions about me and my family," she replied coolly, her voice carrying a hint of warning.

Bella's heart pounded in her chest at Sloane's words, a sense of unease creeping over her. She had not expected to encounter Sloane here, especially not at night and especially not alone.

"I-I was just curious," Bella stammered, her voice wavering slightly. "I didn't mean any harm."

Sloane's eyes narrowed at Bella's response, her gaze piercing through the darkness. "Curiosity killed the cat, Isabella," she said cryptically, taking a step closer to Bella. "You should be careful what you ask about."

Bella felt a chill run down her spine at Sloane's words, a sense of foreboding settling over her. She knew that Sloane was dangerous, but she had never seen this side of her before.

"What do you mean?" Bella asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "What are you going to do?"

Sloane's lips curled into a sinister smile, her eyes glinting in the moonlight. "Oh, I'm not going to do anything," she replied, her voice dripping with malice. "But you should know that the Cullens and I have a lot of bad blood between us. You getting involved only made things worse."

Bella's eyes widened in shock at Sloane's words, a cold fear gripping her heart. She had never heard anyone speak of the Cullens in such a way before, and the implications of Sloane's words sent a shiver down her spine.

"S-Sloane, I didn't mean to cause any trouble," Bella stammered, her voice trembling with fear. "I-I just wanted to know the truth."

Sloane's smile widened at Bella's response, a predatory gleam in her eyes. "Well, now you know," she said, taking another step closer to Bella. "And let this be a warning to you – stay away from me and my family, or you'll regret it."

With that, Sloane turned on her heel and disappeared into the darkness, leaving Bella standing alone in the moonlit night, her heart racing and her mind reeling. She had never felt so scared and alone, unsure of what the future held or what secrets lay hidden in the shadows of Forks.

As Bella stood there, trying to process what had just happened, she couldn't shake the feeling that Sloane was not somebody she wanted to piss off. Unlocking the door, she was surprised to see her father sitting down with a serious expression on his face. "Hey Dad" Charlie did not answer her and instead placed a paper in her hand. Bella slowly read the paperwork and felt her heart drop "A restraining order, Tanya informed me that she was tired of you stalking her family".

Charlie said nothing else before he turned and walked away leaving a shocked and distraught Bella alone in the living room. He could not even look at her.
