beni quickly realised that it's a chore getting to the u.a building from her apartment.
with the high rise building being smack in the middle of musutafu, the rush hour is immense at seven in the morning.
she had to miss several trains due to them being too packed, and by the time she stood at the bottom of the hill in which u.a was rested on, she almost resigned herself then and there.
she could've called in a favour from her red winged knight in shining armour, but the blond was only tolerable in small doses, and especially not at...
checks watch
ten in the morni-
wait...
TEN ?!?!?
at that point, beni would've risked having a headache for the rest of the day as opposed to being a whole ass hour late to her induction day.
by the time she made it to the top of the hill, there were already staff members packing up the helpful signs dotted around pointing others to where they were meant to be, and beni didn't want to imagine the experience they must've had seeing her.
covered in sweat, red in the cheeks, and a face filled with that much regret at only ten in the morning must've been an impressive sight for everyone involved.
thankfully, without beni even needing to open her mouth, they pointed her inside and down the hall to a big wooden door, with a sign next to it saying 'u.a high school hero course exam orientation'.
the girl didn't even get a chance to turn around a thank her underpaid walking taxi before a large hand landed on the back of her tatted jumper with an ominous sounding "good luck, kid," before they reached around and opened the door and pushed beni inside.
the first thing the girl realised while having the pro hero present mic and about 200 kids staring at her was that she was underdressed.
they were all seemingly in something akin to their school uniforms, and some bastards were even in suits and ties for christ sake.
she was standing there - late, mind you - in her dinosaur age 'aoa' fan jumper kindly gifted to her by her red winged tax payer, a dusty skateboard tucked under her arm, and her next door neighbours grey joggers that they had forgotten about after leaving them to dry for too long out of their window.
beni doesn't care what anyone says, ten minutes was long enough for them to dry - they definitely forgot about them.
i'm going to leave the country post haste-
"got lost, little listener?!"
beni was glad she had a mask covering the bottom part of her face, because the sneer she gave present mic might've sent him into anaphylactic shock.
"there's a free seat all the way up there, kiddo! don't worry - we ain't got onto the explaining yet!"
she looked to her left where the pro hero was pointing and practically deflated where she stood.
more fucking stairs
she started her long and woeful trek, not bothering to entertain any of the snobbish kids who glanced her up and down and promptly looked as if they were about to spew.
i hate rich people
beni took her seat in the far right corner of the hall and quickly felt out of place as everyone had a piece of paper in their hands that she did not.
