the bow caused beni a massive head-rush and she stumbled backwards a little, trying to ignore the stares of mina and hagakure beside her.

i really need to sit down after this...

lately, it was hard for beni to go a full school day without falling asleep, and the loud complaints of her stomach didn't help to ward off any of her classmates growing concerns either.

it wasn't like she was trying to not eat, but nothing was actually staying down. 

every time she had managed to grimace her way through a piece of toast or an apple in the morning, she would always have to end up excusing herself later on - either in class or before they left the dorms - to go and throw up.

"what would you normally be doing around now, iida?"

"having breakfast!"

well, energy drinks can't do everything i guess

beni practically cradled her energy drink like a lifeline as the journalist guy - takeda - went around each table, capturing pictures of her classmates eating.

"you not hungry?"

ah fuck

she turned to jirou who had taken a seat beside her, smiling wearily at the girl who was making her way through a tub of yogurt.

"no - i don't really like eating in the mornings,"

the girl hummed and beni thought that would be the end of it before an unfamiliar face entered her peripheral.

while beni was debating wether or not to embrace the rudeness of acting like he wasn't there, the man spoke.

"you really not eating any breakfast?"

she looked up, watching as takeda messed around with him camera that he had constantly glued to his hands, feigning disinterest.

the girl sighed, "nope, don't have breakfast,"

"you sure? i could always-,"

"-who isn't eating?"

beni thunked her head onto the table at the unfortunately familiar voice of their class president.

"ikeya! you cannot go through the school day on an empty stomach - at least have this,"

glaring up, her bloodshot eyes landed on an apple that was placed in front of her by iida, trying her best to not be bothered by the expectant look on both his face and takeda's.

after a moment of internal debate, she reached out for the apple, trying to stop the tremors visible in the limb before chewing a small bite.

with iida placated, he walked away but beni had to continue to quell the nausea that was getting worse with every swallow.
