"oh my god! ikeya - what happened?!"

the entire reason beni had came into school an hour early and sat in the classroom with her head down, trying to ignore iida behind her was to avoid this.

"nothing, mina - just walked into a door," she replied with a sigh.

there was still bruising a week later after hawks broke her nose (if we're counting, that is the sixth time he's done it since they've met) and beni was aware it looked a little jarring.

she placed her head back down on the table and let the chatter of her now arriving classmates filter out - people talking about the USJ, the news, heroes and such.

beni let herself tune it all out as she laid her head on her arms and stared to the right into the classroom wall before fishing her flip phone out of her pocket.

she opened it and scrolled through her and 'bourgeoisie''s chat (she was lovingly names 'ellis' in hawks' phone - he didn't find her joke to be that funny though)

beni opened his new message to see a photo of a criminal being put into a police car in the background with hawks at the front, throwing up a peace sign.

she giggled a little, hearting the message before movement from in front of her made her close the phone with a small sound of alarm.

"ikeya-,"

mina's chair wobbled as she leaned back and beni put her hands out to stable it before the pink haired girl turned to her.

"-whose gonna teach homeroom today?"

beni hummed, "well, mr.aizawa should still be in the hospital...,"

her line of thought was cut off by the sound of the door sliding open.

"morning,"

"MR.AIZAWA?!"

"YOU'RE BACK ALREADY?!"

"YOU'RE TOO MUCH OF A RPO!"

iida's hand shot up behind her, "so you're alright, mr.aizawa?"

watching as the man trudged his way to the front of the class, still fully wrapped in bandages, was a sight that beni enjoyed.

"can you really call that 'alright'?" she mumbled.

"my well-being doesn't matter - more importantly, the fight is not over yet,"

beni felt the rest of the class tense up at his words.

"the u.a sports festival is drawing near,"

kirishima practically lit up with joy, "that's a super normal school event-!"

"wait a minute!" kaminari cut in, "is it really okay to have a sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" jirou continued.

"what if they attack us again or something-?" ojiro started.

"apparently, they think of it as u.a showing that our crisis management system is solid as a rock for holding the event," aizawa explained, "security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years,"

"so they're putting our safety on the line for some kind of media tactic?" beni spoke out with a sneer on her face.

aizawa sighed before responding, "i assure you, ikeya - the school will not let another incident like the USJ happen,"
