The light rudely woke Eve from her sleep and made her dark eyelashes flutter before she wrinkled her nose, squinted her eyes again in vain, and then blinked open. The first cheeky rays of the morning sun fell through the curtains and cast small, bright spots on her face. With a soft groan, she lifted her hand to run it over her eyes. Behind her forehead, a small, unnerving hammer throbbed in her skull - no doubt the after-effects of the boozy evening. The other telltale throbbing in her lap and the muscles of her body, however, could not be blamed on this but was caused... from...

'Holy shit!'

Eve roused from her doze a little too quickly and immediately sat upright. The blanket slipped into her lap, and the cool breeze around her chest immediately revealed that she was wearing nothing more than Eve's costume: nothing at all.

With a wild throbbing in her chest, she wiped the tangled strands from her face, which were still a little damp and entirely disheveled. Fragments of the memories of last night flashed before her inner eye as if in a flurry of press flashes... To the point of how it had ended.

First in the shower and then in her bed with...

'Oh God! What have they done? How could they... how could HE! Oh God!'

Her thoughts stumbled clumsily over each other, and Eve buried her face in her hands to stifle the sound that originated in her chest and spilled from her lips in a mixture of gasps, moans, and disbelieving half-laughs.

She couldn't believe it. It all seemed completely absurd, as if it could have been just a stupid dream. But ...

A dark humming sounded beside her, and as Eve's gaze slid to the side, toffee and the sweetest honey couldn't have offered a sweeter combination than the sight of a sleepy Ryker with a slightly furrowed brow and tousled hair.

While Eve's cheeks competed with her stomach to see who could tingle the fastest and strongest, the corners of her mouth were already pulling apart into a gentle smile.

Eve couldn't resist the urge to reach out and brush one of the brown strands from her face back to her temples. Part of her couldn't believe it until now, perhaps secretly wanting to convince herself that this sight wasn't a leftover mirage of her dreams. But... It wasn't because the soft strands tickled her index finger.
