As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the city, Ishan and Shubman found themselves seated across from each other at a faint, candlelit bistro. The ambiance was beautiful, with soft jazz music playing in the background and the gentle hum of conversation filling the air.

Ishan couldn't help but steal glances at Shubman, admiring the way the flickering candlelight danced across his features, casting shadows and highlights in all the right places. There was a newfound sense of anticipation between them, a palpable tension tinged with excitement and nervousness.

Shubman caught Ishan's gaze and offered a reassuring smile, his eyes twinkling with affection. "You look stunning tonight, Ishu," he murmured, reaching across the table to gently brush his fingers against Ishan's hand.

Ishan felt a blush rise to his cheeks at the compliment, his heart fluttering in response to Shubman's touch. "You're not looking too bad yourself, Shubi," he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they dined on delectable dishes and shared stories from their past. They laughed and reminisced, their words filling the space between them with warmth and familiarity.

But beneath the surface, there was an unspoken tension, a lingering question that hung in the air between them. Ishan could sense it, the weight of Shubman's confession from earlier weighing heavily on his mind.

As dessert arrived, Ishan took a deep breath, making himself aware  for what was to come. He knew that this was the moment they had been building towards, the moment when they would finally address the elephant in the room and decide the fate of their relationship.

"Shubi," Ishan began, his voice soft but determined. "About what you said earlier..."

Shubman's gaze met his, his expression open and vulnerable. "Ishu, I meant every word," he replied , his voice earnest and sincere. "I want us to be more than just friends, if you'll have me."

Ishan felt a rush of emotions wash over him at Shubman's words - hope, fear, longing, all swirling together in a dizzying whirlwind. But amidst the chaos, there was a sense of clarity, a deep-seated knowing that this was what he wanted, what they both wanted.

"Shubi, I..." Ishan trailed off, his voice catching in his throat. "I want that too. I want us to give this a chance, to see where it leads."

A smile spread across Shubman's face, his eyes alight with joy. "Really?" he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ishan nodded, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Really."

With that simple exchange, the tension that had been keeping between them was now solved and  replaced by a newly found sense of excitement . They leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender kiss that spoke volumes more than words ever could.

The evening stretched on, filled with laughter and shared moments of intimacy as Ishan and Shubman reveled in the joy of their newfound connection. They walked hand in hand through the city streets, the world around them fading into insignificance as they lost themselves in each other.

As they finally made their way back to Ishan's apartment, the night air cool against their skin, Ishan couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. This was just the beginning of their journey together, but already, he knew that it was going to be something special.

With a final glance at Shubman, his heart full to bursting with love and gratitude, Ishan whispered, "Thank you, Shubi, for taking a chance on us."

Shubman squeezed Ishan's hand, his eyes shining with affection. "No, thank you, Ishu, for being brave enough to give us a chance."
