As time went on, I heard the door open. I peeked my head out of the couch to see Rachel and 2 other girls walking beside her.

The girl in the same red suit saw me. "Oh! Hey, you're awake!"

I showed my face to her and waved slightly at her. "Hello."

She came up to me. "I'm Charlie, the princess of Hell. Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel." she greeted me. "And this is my girlfriend Vaggie."

"Hey." she waved.

"Hi Vaggie. It's nice to meet you both." I shook Charlie's hand. "I was waiting for you."

"Sorry it took so long, we had to show Rachel everything this hotel has to offer now that she's our chef."

"Rachel! Are you okay?" I ran up to her.

"I'm fine. How about you?"

"I'm okay too." I turned to the girls. "Thank you for taking care of me and my friend here. I really appreciate what you've done to help us."

"You're welcome. We're happy to help." Charlie smiled. "So was there something that you wanted to talk about? Angel told me to come to you."

"Oh yes. A lot of it actually." I nodded. I explained to her that I went to Heaven first before coming down to Hell during the Extermination Day. While I was telling the girls my story, Rachel went into the kitchen to do her job.

"Oh my gosh you went to Heaven?!" Charlie gasped.

"Yes." I nodded.

"What was it like up there?!"

"Full of clouds. And then a gate that wouldn't open for me due to that event a few days back while I was unconscious."

"Huh, I see. So no one was there to greet you at the gates and then you just fell down here?" Vaggie asked.

"Yeah. I just don't understand any of this at all."

"It's okay Aqua. We're going to help you out so that way you can be redeemed as well." Charlie assured me.

"Thanks Charlie. Maybe there's something that I can do while I'm still here." I said.

"Well, we could use a little bit more help here. What do ya think Charlie?" Vaggie asked her girlfriend.

"Yes! You can work for us here! There's lots of things you can do. You can be a maid, or a cook, or maybe a bartender." Charlie said.

"But we already have a bartender. Husk is in charge of that."

"Oh yeah. Uhh hmm..." Charlie started thinking. "Oh! How about as a lifeguard?! We just renovated a swimming pool! I mean it makes sense!"

"It does?" Vaggie asked her.

"How does it make sense?" I asked her as well.

"Your name is Aqua, and Aqua means water right?"

"Right."

"So you can be our lifeguard! Can you do it? Please?!" Charlie pleaded.

I gulped the feeling down my throat because I had a secret that included water. Angel was already surprised about what happened earlier when he tried to dress my wounds. I was worried, but I couldn't say no and turn Charlie down. I thought about it for a bit, so I decided to take that chance, this was the only way to help her run her hotel.

"Please?!?!" Charlie got on her knees and gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"Well..." I took a deep breath. "Well, okay. What harm can a little water do?" I smiled.

"Yes! Thank you thank you thank you!" Charlie was shaking my paws violently. "Welcome to the team!" she got really excited.

"Thanks Charlie. Is it lunchtime now? I'm really hungry."

"Yes it is. Rachel is already in the kitchen making something super yummy at the mome-"

"Ah!" a yell came from the kitchen.

"What the?" I looked back.

"Fuck..." a giant black and white cat with red wings came out of the kitchen covering his face. "Damn she hits hard."

"Husker my dear friend, what's gotten into you?" Alastor went to the cat.

"It's none of your fucking business Bambi!" the cat growled at Alastor. He uncovered his face and he had a black eye.

"Ooh. That's gotta leave a mark." Angel laughed. "Maybe I can make it feel better using my seed juice~"

"Oh suck it yourself bitch." the cat grew angry at Angel.

As I saw the red winged cat, I couldn't help but feel my heart pounding out of my chest. And I also felt heat coming up to my cheeks. What was this feeling? Was it something I've never felt ever?

"So Aqua, you wanna get started right away with your lifeguard training?" Charlie asked me.

"Uhh..." I got distracted with the cat. "Actually... I'll be right back." I said as I took out my first aid kit from my chest fur and approached the bar stand where Alastor and the cat was.

"And who the fuck are you supposed to be?" the cat hissed at me.

"Calm down Husker. This is Aquamarine I was telling you about. She just came back from the dead earlier today."

"I'm not a zombie Alastor." I said to him.

"She's going to be working for us as well. This bartender goes by the name Husker my dear." he introduced me to him.

"Hello." I waved to him.

"He's my pet."

"I was never your pet to begin with!" he hissed at Alastor.

"Now now my friend. Let Aquamarine do her mending magic on you." he said.

"Y-You're hurt. Let me take care of that." I said as I sat at the seat of the bar.

"I don't need your fucking help dog." the cat took out a bottle and started drinking out of it.

"I'm not a dog. I'm a wolf."

"Dog. Wolf. Same shit."

"Everyone needs help sometimes. Even you, so stop being a pussycat and let me help you." I said as I got on the chair on my knees and started tending to his swollen black eye.

~Husker's POV~

I grumbled and growled as the damn dog was tending my black eye Rachel punched me at earlier. But as I was looking back up at the dog, I couldn't help but stare.

'What the fuck is wrong with me?' I thought to myself. 'No. There's no way I could be feeling this feeling again. Nope. Never.'

"There. All done." the dog said as she was getting down. "You're a good kitty." she wagged her tail. "Here's a treat." she said as she held out a lollipop.

"I hate candy." I grumbled.

"Hey, maybe it'll make you feel better after you took that punch. Take it."

I sighed loudly. "Whatever." I said as I swiped the lollipop from her paw.

"That wasn't so bad. Was it?"

I grumbled. "I guess not. Now get going."

"Okay grumpy cat." she giggled softly and got down from the seat, going back to Charlie.

As I watched her leaving with Charlie, she looked back and waved to me. I didn't know what I was thinking, but I slightly waved back at her which made her giggle as she headed to the pool room. This was bad, there's no way I could be falling for that dog, could it?
