Janet POV

"Come on you said you'd always wanted to do something you've never done before."

"Yeah I did, but this is a bit extreme Darius. It's a 164 feet over a lagoon."

"I thought you had that bucket list of stuff you wanted to get done."

"Again this is a lot!!"

"You scared?"

"No I'm not."

"It's okay to say you are."

"I'm good."

"Well come on then."

He dragged me up stairs that were carved into the rock as we made our way to the top of the cliff. There were only two other couples here. They didn't pay us any attention. I don't even know if they realized who I was.

"Do you want to go together?"

"Umm...yeah if that's okay."

They got us strapped in. Joey just stood by and shook his head at me and laughed. I flipped him off. He laughed even louder.

"You ready babe?"

"I can't do this Darius!" I grabbed his arms tightly. I could feel myself hyperventilating.

He held my face planting a soft kiss on my lips not caring who was around.

"Just remember everything you told me and all the stuff you've been through. Sacrificing your own needs for everyone else. Stuff you're still dealing with from previous relationships, the baby daddy, and the abuse you faced. You've said you dealt with it, but your still holding onto it. Even with therapy. This will be your way of letting all of that go and looking towards the future. Hopefully one with us if you fully allow it." He said quietly so only I could hear.

"Darius I lied...I'm scared."

"I know you are. I can feel it. Listen sometimes we have to face that fear and get out of our comfort zone if we are to grow and move forward."

I smiled at him. "Look at you dropping some knowledge on me."

"I read that from a fortune cookie." I burst out laughing at him. He laughed with me.

"Hey I know some things babe. Do you trust me?

I paused. Did I trust him? "Yes I do."

"Come on let's do this." He grabbed my hand. I glanced over at Joey who was just smiling at our exchange. The coordinator went over everything with us again to make sure we were prepared. Darius grabbed my hands and pulled me to him holding me close. I thought about what he said and took a deep breath exhaling. I was ready to let it all go.

The trap under us gave way not giving any kind of warning. I started screaming, but my breath caught from the speed we were going. I closed my eyes tight. The cold air rushed past us. I held him tighter to me. I felt him kissing me all of a sudden. I opened my eyes. His were open smiling at me. The cord snapped back. Bringing us back up. Screaming again, I pulled him tighter to me. He laughed at me. I felt so light. It was the craziest feeling ever. Just the adrenaline that was pumping through me was insane. We kept bouncing back and forth for a bit before the cord went lax.

"How was that?"

"That was insane Darius!!!! Oh god I think I'm gonna puke! I can't believe I did that."

"But did you let it all go baby?"

"Yeah yeah I did babe. Thank you." I laughed.

"See I told you."
