Omniscient POV
"Baby what's wrong. Why you sitting in the dark?" He asked her as he entered the bedroom.
He wasn't sure if she was crying. They were at her hotel suite. Eissa was in bed in his room sound asleep after a long day of Darius keeping him busy.
"I have to tell you something important."
"Okay what's up?"
"Umm I'm scared to tell you." He could hear her sniffling and saw her wiping her face now. He could hear the fear in her voice. His stomach twisted in knots at what could possibly be going on with her. He instantly thought the worst because she had been acting strange for a while. He hoped whatever it was they could make it through it together. He didn't want to have to kill anyone.
He turned on the lights and closed the bedroom door. He was right she had been crying, her eyes were red and slightly puffy from it. Even with Eissa asleep he locked the door just in case he woke up. He didn't want Eissa to see her upset like this if he woke up. He also didn't want Eissa to see him if he lost it if something crazy happened. If she told him something off the wall.
He took a deep breath waiting for her to say something as he sat on the bed. He really didn't want to jump to any conclusions. He had a feeling that it was something horrific.
"What's wrong baby?"
"I umm...I went to the doctor." She sounded like she had been crying for a while. Tears streamed down her cheeks, unchecked and relentless. Her throat tightened, a lump forming that made speech impossible.
"What happened?!?!" He felt his throat closing up.
"They did some tests and did blood work."
"A test? Blood work? Why?! What's wrong baby??"
"I was concerned because I've been feeling off for a while. I didn't really know what was going on. And my family does have a family history of some things that aren't good." She sighed heavily, letting her head drop. "I had some family that passed away from cancer, particularly breast cancer."
"Do you have breast cancer? What were the tests? What are the results? "
"They did a bunch of things. They also did a pregnancy test to rule that out."
"A pregnancy test? Oh shit! Really?"
"Yeah."
"And?"
"It's positive Darius."
He was completely flabbergasted and shocked, but he had a feeling that she might be. He didn't even know what to say at first. He thought she was taking birth control and they were good. Nothing had ever happened. He was actually surprised she hadn't gotten pregnant sooner. Especially with the way they went at it sometimes.
