Dario POV
I'd like to think that the camping trip was successful. We had a good time with Eissa. The two of us had some quality time together. Some freaky time. It was really nice. We went back forth between places depending on what she had to do or if I had some classes to teach. Everything just flowed so well with us as a unit, as a family.
Every now and again there would be some news about Wissam, but nothing pressing. Everyone was healthy and happy. I found when things seemed to be going good that's when the shit hit the fan. In our case, it wasn't for once. It was terrifying to think about. To know that we were at a good place was refreshing and comforting for both of us.
Eissa was getting tutoring with the amount of traveling we were doing. He was doing well with it. He stopped asking about his dad. Well every now and again he would ask where he was. At this point he was becoming a distant memory. Just the fact that everything was expedited so quickly and she didn't have to go to court due to the overwhelming evidence sent a relief through her. But Janet and I both knew he wouldn't be in jail forever.
Janet was just starting to show. She had a cute baby bump that you could see, but you had to really look for it. She kept her clothes loose as to not draw attention. At this point she was six months along.
Her pregnancy had some hiccups where she developed gestational diabetes. She found out that her mom had developed the same thing with her later pregnancies. She monitored herself closely and watched what she ate. She already was healthy, but even so more now with something like this. The doctor had her checking her blood sugars and keeping a food journal. It was a lot to deal with, but she handled it like a pro. She tolerated everything that was thrown her way with grace and bravery. It was amazing to watch.
We were in New York again just to see Pres and his fiancé. Janet missed them and wanted to visit. So we flew there and stayed in the condo. Eissa was being watched by his Auntie Toya since she was also there on business. I noticed that she traveled a lot, but didn't seem to really have a job. But she could afford some luxurious places. I would have to ask Janet about that.
"What do you want to do while we are here babe besides see Pres and Clint?" I asked her rubbing her back as she sat on the couch in front of me.
"I want to go shopping for the baby."
"But we don't even know what we are having yet!!"
"Oh that won't be a problem. I know we're having a girl." She replied matter-of-factly.
"Oh please you are definitely carrying my son." I knew she wanted that girl, but I definitely wanted another son.
"Yeah whatever Darius. Come on let's go before I get hungry and start tearing up this kitchen."
Shaking my head I got up and got ready. One thing that I learned with her being pregnant was not to be loafing around when she was ready to go somewhere. She didn't get mean or anything, but I would get the look a lot.

Omniscient POV
"Pres please come into this store with me. Darius won't."
She was trying to go into some fancy boutique. Joey was nearby as always looking either bored or alert to everything around them. With it being New York and being used to celebs there all the time, no one really paid attention to her other to give a quick glance and keep walking.
"Nope I sure won't. I'll be out here walking around maybe go get a snack babe. You guys have fun though."
Pres and Janet walked around picking up clothes, sometimes jewelry.
