Previously, on the Reverse 1999, Chapter 1:

The Storm, with its effect to reverse the world, alter everyone's perception to make them act irrational, or possibly even change the noosphere, It is not just a simple change in the phenomenal, but it's an alteration of reality itself. The Storm has the power to change the tides of fate, bending the flow of the universe, transforming the world as we know it. The Storm can make the impossible possible, changing the indescribable feelings of the living being spirit, regardless of whether they are human or arcanist. The Storm had a profound effect on the feelings that one could not explain, the way it made one feel lost in time and space. However, it was far more than that.

Arcanists, through the utilization of their arcane art, traditionally are known to feel emotions and desires. They are associated with the arcanum and its powerful essence, and so are the Storm. Arcanum feeds on one's emotional and feeling state, and in return, it can enhance or suppress one's powers and abilities. When they are under stress, pressure, or any other source of tension, they will often seek affection and love, their hormones are one factor in play, this is a natural instinct that even the Storm itself can utilize, it also capitalizes on this desire. They tend to exhibit this unique feeling, which they describe as "desire for intimacy."

Such occurrences with arcanists can be quite awkward. They are acting out of character, displaying a side that is not usual for them. They might be uncharacteristically domineering, or they may become submissive and compliant in the face of someone else's authority, like Ring. It's a strange feeling for them, like they've lost control and have become susceptible to the whims of others. This state of mind can be disorienting for someone who has always been in a position of power and control.

Imagine Vertin, who has always been a quiet and calm mysterious lady in an old-fashioned outfit, suddenly becoming the one who blush, or maybe even the dominant one.

The Storm brings out their subconscious desires, and they are compelled to act upon them, even if it is against their nature. The Storm alters their behavior in unexpected ways, often bringing out the opposite of who they have always been.

Vertin, a calm and reserved lady, succumbed to her feelings, she was no longer her usual, cool and composed self. and this unexpected behavior took Ring by surprise. That particular evening, she was having a good naughty-naughty time with Ring, she was being naughty, and Ring was finding it hard to resist her advances.

They both indulge in the feeling of mutual attraction, They proceeded to have a good time together, however, this may not be enough. What if her craving for intimacy was not satiated? What if she desired more, a desire that could not be easily satisfied? It was as if her desire was an abyss that had no bottom for her. Like there was always more she wanted to experience, more that she wanted to explore.

Vertin was a teenager who already matured and acted like an adult. Her age was around sixteen, but it could be more than that. Maybe she was at least seventeen years old? This fanfiction and the story itself had made everyone age up by one or two depending on everyone's interpretation, which meant that Vertin and Ring were older than they were in the original story. So it is not a stretch to say that Vertin was in her late teenage or early adult years. basically, it is up to reader to determine their age. Regardless of her exact age, Vertin was no longer a child and was maturing into a young woman.
