Previously, on the reverse 1999, chapter 9:
This island, Kingdom of Numbers.... whatever they call it but certainly exudes an air of ancient history. Its people and believer have carefully preserved relics from times long past, giving off an ancient Greek vibe. Surrounded by crumbling ruins and scrolls that whisper secrets lost to the ages. The ghosts of philosophers arguing over the nature of numbers, their voices echoing through the empty halls of the once-great library.
The air is thick with the scent of ink and parchment, as scholars pore over manuscripts and maps, studying the arcane knowledge and pneuma, spending their days contemplating the complexities of mathematics and the mystery of numbers. They might spend hours staring at an equation, puzzling over how 2 plus 2 can sometimes equal 3 or 5, might as well insert 22 into the blank sheet as your answer, depending on your perspective.
A true scholar of numerology, they see the world through a lens of digits and decimals. They might even have a favorite number and dedicate their life to proving its significance in the grand scheme of things. It's like they're on a quest to unlock the secret language of numbers, and they were like: "Oh? What's your number then?". And then this, "No number? Then I legally can kill you, throw into the gorgon sea or whatever". But When it comes to measuring entropy, it's all about a random variable's entropy reflects the average uncertainty level in its possible outcomes.
On a scale of 0 to 1, entropy has a specific range. But here's the thing, entropy can actually go beyond that range, it's possible for entropy to exceed the boundaries of 1, but what does that even mean? The meaning stays the same, the uncertainty. Despite surpassing the theoretical limits, entropy is still entropy after all.... Overall it is fundamentally probabilistic.
On the other hand, 0 represents maximum order or zero disorder. The concept of entropy is essentially a measure of how scrambled up a system is. Zero entropy means that everything is in perfect order, while a value of 1 indicates maximum disorder, higher entropy, the higher is disorder. Now, the goal is to achieve a value as close to 0 as possible, which means minimizing disorder and maximizing order. Achieving zero entropy would represent a highly organized state, where everything is in perfect harmony.
Which is simply nothing, forever stuck in the loop of loneliness according to 210.
In this sense, one can argue that entropy is neither good nor bad, but simply a fundamental aspect of nature.
In conclusion, regardless of zero or one, it is only the illusion of choice....
The Emanation is on its way. But at least it's not coming too quickly after things have calmed down somewhat. With the dark clouds still in the distance, they have a brief reprieve, a moment of respite before the storm hits. What form will this phenomenon take? Will it bring blessings or curses? And when will it finally arrive?
Just because one is immune to the Storm doesn't necessarily make them immortal. Take Nightingale, for example. Her immunity prevents her from being impacted by the reversal itself, but it doesn't grant her immortality or make her impervious to all harm. She's still vulnerable to things like injury, illness, and natural causes. So while it may seem like she has an advantage over others, she's still mortal just like everyone else. Her immunity is a blessing, but it's not a guarantee of eternal life.
