Previously, on the Reverse 1999, Chapter 12:

One fought everywhere, fighting across all fronts, it's unbelievable, this extraordinary living so called the Tempestuous Ring has fought in every imaginable condition, using weapons that he never even dared to dream of, a weapon he never imagined holding. This was his life, his reality. He didn't have the luxury of picking and choosing which battles to fight or what weapons to use. He's a true master of warfare, able to adapt to whatever comes his way, scorching deserts, freezing tundras, muddy swamps, and everything in between.

And he did all this while wielding a weapon that he probably had no experience with before. How did he manage to do it? He's been through hell and back, yet he still rises up every time like Odysseus, battling monsters and mythical creatures with the tools he's been given. He had to do whatever it took to survive, even if it didn't align with his own ideals or preferences. That's the harsh reality of war, you don't always have control over the circumstances or the tools at your disposal. All you can do is adapt, improvise, and overcome.

But death is death... It is a universal constant. The one thing that all beings must face.

It doesn't matter what he is or what he has done in his lives. When death comes, it shows no boundaries, no language, no discrimination, akin to the great equalizer, the one thing that every single living being will experience, regardless of their background or status, whether they're young or old, rich or poor, regardless of race, gender, or culture. No matter who you are, death comes for us eventually. And suffering, is the same no matter where you're from because it is the same in every language.

It transcends all differences, reaching across the world as it is ready to strike at the very heart of experience. No matter what language you speak, the pain is always the same. Death and suffering are the twin constants in the living being condition. Everyone can relate, everyone can understand. No matter what you call it, no matter how you describe it, because the subject is a fundamental part of the all living being, and it's something we all have to deal with at some point in our lives.

But you know, technology is moving faster than a speeding bullet, outpacing even our ability to keep up with it and use it effectively. It's getting harder and harder to keep up with all the new gadgets and gizmos that are being released faster than you can say "artificial intelligence". Leaving the humans in the dust, and they are a group of confused cavemen trying to figure out how to operate their own latest gadgets. They are always playing the game of catch-up, trying to keep up with the latest and greatest inventions that seem to pop up faster than they can even say "new model."

Just look at how quickly gadgets and software are constantly being updated, each new version introducing new features and improvements. Sometimes it feels like the moment you think you've mastered a piece of technology, it already becomes outdated, It can be frustrating trying to keep up with all the changes and advancements, especially if you're not particularly tech-savvy. And even if you're comfortable with technology, it still takes time to learn how to use each new tool effectively.

When it comes to war, it doesn't matter which side you're on, what kind of technology you possess, or how advanced your technology is, there are sides and divisions - From the darkest depths of the ocean to the highest peaks of the mountains, the horrors of conflict can be witnessed. Regardless of the technology used by either side, in the end, the most devastating weapon and effective killing machine of all is still mankind. Men and women, no matter their side, have proven time and time again that they are capable of the most horrific acts. As the adage goes, it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. They have shown time and time again that they are capable of incredible feats of violence and destruction. In war, the true enemy isn't any specific nation or army, but rather the inherent darkness within the heart.
