Previously, on the Reverse 1999, chapter 7:
Two souls sharing a singular body, yet somehow retaining their individuality. Like two sides of the same coin, they exist in harmony, each with their own unique thoughts and emotions. It's almost as though they've made a bargain with the universe, agreeing to peacefully coexist within the same vessel. Sometimes, they merge so seamlessly that it's difficult to tell where one ends and the other begins. Other times, it's obvious that they're two distinct entities, warring for control.
One thing is certain, though: they are forever linked. It's a strange phenomenon, really. It's as though he's trying to convince everyone it's the 17th century all over again. Who is he trying to fool? In the era of science, technology, and reason, it's hard to fathom how anyone could take such an outlandish statement seriously. No way it is going to be accepted without a shred of doubt, it's as believable as mermaids singing on the moon or a flock of pigs flying to the edge of the world. One would have to be a right fool to fall for such an absurd story!
However, science has taken a backseat and bitten the dust, and arcanum is flourishing, the blooming world of arcanum has taken its place. Just as Tempest foresaw. Perhaps they had a crystal ball or a secret knowledge that none of us knew about. While others are busy lamenting the death of science, Tempest is out there, thriving in the new age of Arcanum. Maybe it's time for the rest of us to catch up and embrace this new world order.
A world that exists beyond the boundaries of any map. A world that's not quite of the real world, but not entirely fictional either. It's a realm where reality and imagination overlap, where the impossible becomes possible and the possible becomes impossible. That's what this off-world map represents, a place where anything is possible, and yet nothing is completely real. It's like stepping into a dream, where all the rules of reality are thrown out the window and replaced with the rules of a game.
Raindrops fall gently from the sky, the droplet falls softly, water cascades down from above, a reflection of the heavens in the droplets on the grass.
The rain and the land dance together, mirroring each other in a never-ending cycle, raindrops kiss the earth, leaving behind a trail of poetry in their wake. The rain falls, but in the end, it's just a mirror to nature's own reversed and cyclical beauty.
Reversing direction, flowing back on high, they rise towards the clouds, defying gravity, a palindrome of a natural cycle, in a hazy array, the droplets tumble and twirl with grace, reversing the course of weather's face.
No longer falling down, but upward they climb. Reversing nature's decree for a watery climb.
So as the rain ascends towards the stars above.
Forever in love.
