We all hate when our allergy seasons come, right?

Springtime was finally in Pop Village, and the Trolls absolutely love when the weather gets warmer and the sun is high in the sky. But in Poppy's case...that wasn't how spring was for her. While she did love feeling the warm sun, being outdoors was a nightmare for her. Springtime meant high doses of pollen, and she was highly allergic to tree and flower pollen. She tried to pull herself together throughout the day because if anyone heard her sneeze or saw her watery eyes, Poppy 911.

Branch: Poppy?

Poppy heard her boyfriend's voice behind her and turned around, he had a concerned look on his face.

Branch: What's wrong?

Poppy: Oh Branch...it's spring again.

Branch: And...?

Branch got his answer when Poppy quickly pulled a tissue box out of her hair and sneezed into a tissue.

Poppy: It's my allergy season...

Branch: Oh...

Poppy rubbed her nose and sat under a tree blowing hard on another tissue.

Branch: Maybe you should go home, the rest of us can fill in for you.

Poppy: No, no...I'll be fine...I don't wanna cause any alarm in the village.

While Branch was touched by Poppy's devotion to her people, he wasn't convinced that she would make it through the day. The last time there was a Poppy 911 in the village, her pod was on lockdown for 10 whole days. Branch knew Poppy well, and he knew that if she was under the weather, she would try and push through it, no matter how serious it was. A small fever was one thing, but allergies was another.

Branch: Poppy, I don't think you'll make it through the day, sooner or later, everyone will notice your condition and the village will shut down again.

Poppy hated to think about it, she had been considering shutting down the Poppy 911 system, but her friends showed no sign of ending that.

Branch: Please...? I'm just trying to save you from being the center of attention again.

Poppy: I guess...but just for a few minutes.

Branch smiled and took Poppy's hand, helping her to her feet. But Poppy immediately stumbled and fell to her knees, Branch gasped and caught Poppy bridal style before she hit the ground.

Branch: I think you're condition's worse than I thought.

Poppy: You think...?

Branch carefully carried Poppy home to her pod, avoiding being noticed by the others in the village. Poppy plopped down on her bed as soon as they got back.

Poppy: Oh my sweet cushiony haven...I missed you...

Branch rolled his eyes smiling.

Branch: I'll check on you again later.

As soon as Branch left, Poppy got up, took a nice hot shower, and changed into her favorite comfortable pajamas. She laid down on her bed and closed her eyes for a few moments.

A couple hours passed before Branch returned to check up on Poppy, he smiled when he saw her laying on her bed looking through the scrapbook he made for her.

Branch: How are you feeling, Poppy?

Poppy looked up from her scrapbook and waved to Branch.

Poppy: Hey, Branch.

She then went back to skimming through her scrapbook, savoring each page that Branch spent so much time making for her.

Branch: By the way, I brought you something.

Poppy looked up again and Branch handed her a bouquet of orchids.

Branch: I thought you might like these.

For a second, Poppy looked up at Branch suspiciously, then she looked back at the bouquet in his hands.

Branch: Don't worry, they're hypoallergenic.

Poppy: Hypo-what now?

Right...never use big words in front of Poppy.

Branch: Um...you won't have any allergic reaction to them.

Poppy: Oh, why didn't you just say so?

Poppy took the bouquet from Branch gratefully and put them in a vase. Then she pulled Branch into a warm hug.

Branch: Um...how are you feeling right now?

Poppy: Much better, thanks to you, Branchifer. No one knows about this, right?

Branch: No...I just told everyone that you were just taking some time to yourself.

Poppy smiled and kissed Branch on the nose.

Poppy: Good, let's keep it that way.

Branch: Um...by the way, I brought something that should help you if this were to happen again.

Branch took out a jar filled with a glittery gel and handed it to Poppy.

Poppy: What's this?

Branch: My grandma used to give this to me when I was little, I have allergies too, just not around this time.

Poppy: Oh...what's it for?

Branch: You just rub it on your nose every morning and it'll reduce the sneezing...hopefully.

Poppy smiled and put the jar on her nightstand, then she took Branch's hand and started caressing his wrist.

Poppy: Thanks, Branch, you always know how to take care of me.

Branch: I-It's nothing...just looking after you.

Poppy: Okay, whatever you say, Mr. Unlicensed Doctor!

Poppy gave Branch a light kiss on his cheek and rested her head comfortably on his chest. She was very lucky to have someone like him who would be there for her in her time of need, and she wouldn't want it any other way.
