I woke up with all this sunlight
Ain't got time to listen to any shade, yeah
Uh, the wind in my pony, top-down, alright
Ain't got time to let them darken my day,

Uh, so light the fireworks
Sing like no one's heard
Dance, it's us against the world, oh

(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about us
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
About what we do, and it's true
I can have all this, but I'm good if I got you
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about—

Poppy and Branch skated together on the roller rink lost in each other's eyes, their hands intertwined like a knot and no other noise besides the song in their hearts. Branch occasionally lifted her by her waist as they sang and skated together.

Listen (Watch me; uh)

You wait so long to catch that feelin'
So hold onto it for as long as you can
We could run away
To only where we know
Girl, I got plans

Uh, so light the fireworks
Sing like no one's heard
Let's dance, it's us against the world, oh

(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about us
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
About what we do, and it's true
I can have all this, but I'm good if I got you
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about—
(Break it down)

(Hey) They don't know about
They don't know about, about, about, about us
(Hey) Light the fireworks, let it catch fire
We gon' dance, dance 'til it burns
(Hey) Pull me in close
We 'bout to let 'em know, know who's your girl
(Hey) So put your hand in my hand
It's you and me, it's us against the world
(Hey) Sing it to me one more time
It's you and me, it's us against the world
(Hey) Sing it to me one more time
It's you and me, it's us against the world
(Ooh-ooh) I'm tryna tell you, honey
(Ooh-ooh), I'm tryna tell you, honey

(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about us
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
About what we do, and it's true
I can have all this, but I'm good if I got you
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about—
(I woke up with all this sunlight)

They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about us
(Wind in my pony, top-down, alright)
They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
About what we do, that it's true
I could have all this, but I'm good if I got you (Yeah)
(Ooh-ooh) They don't know, they don't know, they don't know
They don't know about us

Poppy started skating solo on the rink and did a few spins and turns. Branch suddenly stopped when he saw what she was doing.

Branch: Poppy, wait, rollerskating's not the same as-

Too late, Poppy stumbled off the rink tumbling over the dividers and a loud thud was suddenly heard.

Branch: Ice skating...

Poppy's sobs could be heard on the other side, Branch hurriedly skated off the rink to where she fell. He saw her clutching her leg in her arms sobbing quietly. He removed his rollerskates and knelt down in front of her.

Branch: Are you okay?!

Poppy looked up at Branch with tears in her eyes.

Poppy: B-Branch...I think I broke my ankle...!

She continued to cry as Branch examined her ankle. She was right, it was broken.

Branch: C'mere

He picked her up bridal style carrying her back to his bunker. He set her down on the couch and placed a pillow under her ankle.

Poppy: It hurts...it hurts...!

Branch: I know, Poppy, I know...you're gonna be okay, buttercup.

Branch kissed her on her forehead trying to give her some comfort despite the pain she was feeling. She watched him as he wrapped a bandage around her ankle.

Poppy: I'm sorry, Branch...I know I can be reckless sometimes...

Branch: No, no...well, you're right about that, but...this is on me.

Poppy: You...?

Branch: Yeah, I probably should've given you that warning sooner so you wouldn't try anything risky, so this one's on me.

Poppy: Oh...

Branch sat next to her and put his arm around her kissing her forehead. Poppy did feel a little better in his presence, but she was still in a lot pain. She wished she hadn't been so reckless earlier on the roller rink. Branch saw that she was still bothered by what happened and pulled her closer, planting a light kiss on her soft lips.

Branch: I think I know what'll make you feel better, angel. How about we watch a movie together? Just the two of us.

Poppy looked down but then smiled, a movie did sound good, but she was gonna miss being able to dance around the village with her friends.

Branch: Hey...it's only for a few weeks, you'll be back on your feet before you know it.

Poppy nodded slightly, her head resting on his lap. Branch turned the TV on and started to stroke her hair, he placed a soft kiss on her cheek.

Branch: Feeling better, buttercup?

Poppy: Uh huh...

Poppy scooched closer to Branch and kept her eyes glued to the TV as the movie began. She was definitely going to miss being out and about in the village, but on the plus side, she would get to spend more time with Branch.
