Trolls: Broppy One Shots

The Blizzard

Clay: How much longer do we have to be stuck down here?!

A huge snowstorm was blanketing the village and it had been going on for 4 days, Branch and his family all had to hide in his bunker to stay safe. However, he was having a hard time tolerating his brothers' constant complaining.

Clay: The network down here is so slow! I can't play Candy Crush on my phone! I'm so bored, nothing to do down he-

Viva: Hey!

Clay went silent when he heard Viva's annoyed tone.

Viva: At least we have a roof over our heads! It's better to be down here than up there! Any more of your complaints and you'll be sleeping with the fishes!

Clay: Y-Yes ma'am!

It was quiet for the next hour or so, and eventually everyone went to do their own thing, but Viva couldn't get something out of her head. It was almost as if she had forgotten something important.

Branch: What's wrong?

Viva: I feel like I've forgotten something...how long has this blizzard been going on?

John Dory: 4 long days...

Spruce: Never thought I'd miss Brandy's cooking so much...!

Suddenly, something clicked in Viva's head, she did forget something!

Viva: Poppy!!!

Everyone split up navigating the forest in the tense blizzard. Viva held a lantern out trying to shed some light.

Branch: How long did it take you to realize she was missing?!

Viva: She told me she would meet up at your bunker, but I think something must've happened to her!

Branch: And you didn't think to check on her?!

Viva: Can we talk about this later?! I just wanna find my sister and make sure she's okay!

Branch sighed knowing this wasn't a good time for a lecture.

Branch: We're not done with this conversation.

Viva ignored him and looked around, the harsh snowfall and the piles of snow made it hard to even see your own hand.

Viva: Poppy?!?!

Branch: Where are you, Poppy, it's us!

?: Branch...? Viva...?

The two gasped when they heard a voice coming from the forest.

Viva: Poppy!!!

The two hurried to where they heard Poppy's voice and soon found her under a tree partially buried in the snow and barely conscious.

Poppy: Help...

Branch: Poppy!

Branch quickly knelt down and cradled Poppy in his arms, she was blue as if she were frozen. How long had she been out here for?

Viva: Poppy! Are you okay?!

Poppy: So...cold...can't keep warm...

Poppy soon started to close her eyes.

Branch: Hey, Poppy, stay with us, you're safe now.

Poppy continued to shiver intensely, she was able cold as a block of ice.

Branch: Let's get her home, this blizzard's getting worse.

Branch held Poppy close, shielding her from the cold as they made their way back to the village. The harsh storm got bigger nearly burning the forest in the snow.

Floyd: Any luck? We couldn't find her.

John Dory: It was like a maze out there! A pure white maze!

Spruce: Yeah, we didn't have any luck either.

Branch and Viva descended into the bunker on Branch's elevator, Poppy secured tightly in her boyfriend's arms.

Viva: We found her!

Branch gently laid Poppy down by the fire place and covered her with a soft blanket. She started to cough, but luckily, she was warming up.

Branch: You'll be okay, Poppy, you're stronger than you think.

Poppy rubbed her eyes and opened them halfway.

Poppy: Branch...?

Viva: I'm here too, Poppy...I think I owe you an apology. I realized you were missing too late, and I feel terrible you got stuck in that horrible storm.

Poppy didn't say anything, but instead held her sister's hand. It was almost as if she was saying she forgives her.

Viva: I'm sorry...

Instead of replying, Poppy went back to sleep letting the comforting fire blanket her. Branch felt bad too, he and Poppy were really close and he didn't even notice that she was missing. However, he would get the chance to talk to her later. Right now, she just needed to rest and warm up. He sat down and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

Branch: We all love you so much, Poppy, we'll never make this mistake again.
