Poppy looked at her reflection in the mirror, the top of her ponytail was white along with a few strands of her bangs. She didn't like the way she looked after her ordeal, it made her think that maybe deep down, Velvet and Veneer still won. She wasn't able to get all her musical talent back, hence the white in her hair.

Branch: Poppy?

Poppy turned to Branch who was in their bed with his book open.

Branch: You coming?

Poppy sighed and nodded, she put her favorite pajamas on and climbed into bed with her boyfriend. He put his arm around her noticing her distress.

Branch: Babe, is there something bothering you?

Poppy nodded her head but didn't say anything, she rested her head on Branch's shoulder.

Branch: Wanna talk about it?

Poppy: ...What if Velvet and Veneer won?

Branch: Won? Poppy, they're in prison, they did the crime, so they do the time. Why would they win?

Poppy: Look at me, Branch!

Branch studied Poppy, it was clear that she was referring to her white hair, she clearly wasn't happy about it and she had a way of showing it.

Branch: I don't see anything wrong, you're fine.

Poppy: No I'm not! Because of them, I look like I aged 30 years in just days!

Branch: Poppy...

Poppy: All the other Trolls are gonna think I have some sort of disease! They're gonna repel from me like I'm a freaking leper!

Branch: Poppy, look at me.

Branch gently cupped Poppy face in his hands and started caressing her cheek feeling her baby soft skin under his thumb.

Poppy: I hate this, Branch...

Branch: Babe, I know what Velvet and Veneer did was wrong, they never should've tortured you like that, but you're still here. The bit of white just means not all of your singing talent is back in you. Ask Floyd, he has what you have and he's not letting it get the best of him, he's still the same Floyd we know and love. Just like you're still the same Poppy I fell in love with.

Poppy looked down trying not to cry, Branch pulled her into a hug stroking her back.

Poppy: They tried to kill me...

Branch: I know, princess, and they're paying the price for their crimes. You won't have to worry about them ever again.

Poppy: ...Branch?

Branch: Yeah?

Poppy: Why are people so cruel? You try what you can to see the good in them, but they refuse to show it.

Branch thought for a moment, that was a hard question, but that was how things were. Not everyone you meet is going to be the nicest, and Poppy learned that firsthand. Though he couldn't blame her, the way she was raised made her a little naive to the real world, but she was more down to Earth than she was before.

Branch: I can't explain it, Poppy, all I can tell you is that not everyone in the world is kind. You should know that.

Poppy: Yeah, I know...I saw that with Chef and with Velvet, they just refuse to change their ways, I wish they would let go of their traditions or...habits.

Branch: You and me both, buttercup, but when you think about it, when it comes to reformation, it's not instantaneous, it takes time.

Poppy: What do you mean?

Branch: Like you said, with Chef and Velvet, neither one wanted to change their outlook. That may be because in their cases, their reformation may take longer than it did with the other Bergens or with Barb. Though, with your magic touch, I'm sure you could speed up the process.

Poppy: Really...?

Branch: I'm no fortune teller, but I do know you always manage to see the good in anyone. That's what makes you so special, love, you never give up on anyone no matter how hard it is to get them to change. You never gave up with Barb, or with the Bergens. You knew the Bergens needed to find their own happiness and not rely on their Trollstice tradition, and you knew all the other Troll Tribes, the Rock Trolls included, needed to realize that music doesn't divide them, but unites them. You managed to show the Rock Trolls a new way of union, instead of turning the world into one nation.

Poppy: I did, didn't I...?

Branch nodded and gave her a light kiss on her lips caressing her cheek lightly.

Branch: You're special, angel, you see things no other Troll could see.

Poppy blushed and fiddled her fingers, Branch brushed her white bangs back tucking them behind her ear.

Branch: You're still as beautiful as ever, with or without your white hair.

Poppy touched her hair, still not happy with the way it looked, she just wanted her complete pink hair back, but she knew that it wasn't gonna happen.

Branch: Hey...don't be sad, I still think you look like a true queen. I know what Velvet and Veneer had done, but I don't even pay attention to the way you look now, you're lovely.

Poppy: You think so...?

Branch nodded, pulling Poppy into a hug and giving her a kiss on her forehead, he knew she was still upset about her ordeal, and he was willing to help her through it in any way he could.

Branch: I know so.
