Poppy: Dad, please!!!
Poppy watched in despair as King Peppy signed away her life, signing her away to a greedy cowardly Troll whom he was too blind to see his true colors.
King Peppy: Poppy, please, just understand, he's the right one for you.
Poppy: No he's not! I've seen him! He's not the selfless Troll you make him out to be! He's greedy, mean, and a coward! He doesn't even treat the other Trolls in the village kindly, he just puts on that nice act whenever he's around you!
King Peppy: Poppy, not this again, I know you don't like Creek, but that's no excuse to antagonize him. He loves you.
Poppy: No he doesn't! And neither do I! He's not in love with me, he's in love with the throne! He doesn't even treat me right...
King Peppy shook his head and went back to signing the papers. Poppy looked down at her arm which bore a nasty bruise. Her dad was signing her away to the most despicable Troll in the village and he was too blind to realize he was forcing his daughter into a toxic relationship.
King Peppy: Think about what's best for the kingdom, you're queen.
Poppy: The best of the kingdom will be the last thing on your mind when you realize what kind of Troll he really is! Despite all the proof I've given you, the photos I took, the way he grabs me when he's here, you still refuse to believe me! Why can't you just open your eyes and face reality?! You're too cooped up to see how he is! Those promises he makes, he never keeps them, he breaks them!
At that point, King Peppy stopped listening to Poppy refusing to believe what she said and believing she was only looking for excuses. Poppy burst into angry tears and ran back to her pod.

Poppy rapidly put all her things in her backpack and duffel bag, her scrapbooks and supplies, her favorite outfits, her phone and phone charger, her blankets and sleeping bag, she basically cleaned out her shelves. She didn't care where she was going, she wouldn't come back until her father changed her mind. She put her backpack on her back and picked up her duffel bag and fled not looking back.
Poppy: Branch?!
She stopped in the forest where Branch, her true love, was waiting with his brothers by Rhonda. Viva was there too for her support. She gave her little sister a hug.
Viva: I'm so sorry, Poppy...I tried to talk him out of it, but he was too stubborn.
Poppy: He's blind, Viva! He's blinder than blind!!! He doesn't realize what he's doing, nor what kind of person he's signing me away to!!!
Branch put his arm around Poppy and kissed her cheek.
Branch: It's okay, Poppy, we're all here for you.
Poppy nodded and looked down wiping her tears.
Branch: Ready to go?
Poppy: Yeah...
Poppy started loading Rhonda with her things, she placed her bags with everyone elses.
John Dory: ROAD TRIP!!!!!
Everyone else sighed in frustration.
Floyd: It's not a road trip, John, it's-
Clay: WE'RE OUTLAWS!!!! LET'S BREAK SOME RULES!!!!
Floyd: ...Nevermind...
Branch scoffed and held Poppy's hand.
Branch: Let's get going, we have a long way to go.
Poppy nodded as Branch helped her into Rhonda, once everyone was boarded, they hit the road.

Poppy sat in the back of Rhonda thinking about the risk she just took, was it worth it? She had her true love and her sister beside her, but what would happen back in the village without their queen? She was finally free, but at whaat cost?
Viva: Hey Poppy, we're making mini pizzas over there, want any?
Poppy didn't say anything, nor did she look up. Branch put a reassuring hand on Viva's shoulder.
Branch: Let me talk to her.
Viva nodded and went to join his brothers, Branch sat down next to Poppy putting an arm around her. She rested her head on his shoulder but didn't look up.
Branch: Thinking about the village?
Poppy nodded scooching closer to Branch and hugging her knees.
Branch: You did the right thing. I know it's risky, but if it means us being together, then it's worth it.
Poppy: You sure...?
Branch: Positive.
Poppy finally looked up and kissed Branch on his cheek. She then reached into her duffel bag pulling out a framed photo of her and her family when she was a baby.
Poppy: I really thought my dad was better than that...I thought he knew every Troll well...guess I was wrong.
Branch: Hey...
Poppy looked up as Branch placed a hand under her chin.
Branch: He'll come through. Think of this as...giving him a little scare. He'll change his mind.
Poppy: I hope you're right...but despite all the evidence I gave him...he still refused to believe me. He thinks I'm...ungrateful and unstable.
Poppy looked down at the bruise on her arm, the mental wound ran deeper than that. Branch ran his hand over the bruise and kissed her arm.
Branch: He's your dad, I'm sure he'll realize his daughter is more important than some petty marriage. Besides, it's not him you should be marrying...it's me.
Poppy's eyes widened as she looked up at Branch in shock.
Poppy: R-Really...?
Branch nodded and held her hand, he then reached into his pocket and placed a silver violet ring onto her finger. Poppy looked down at the ring in stunned silence as Branch placed a kiss on her hand.
Branch: Really, really.
Poppy: Oh my gosh...
Poppy leapt into Branch's arms kissing his forehead and hugging him with all her might. He wrapped his arms around her gently rubbing her back.
Branch: I promise, we'll find a place to start over and we'll get married. No one can tell us we're not meant to be together.
Poppy: Thank you, Branch...thank you so much...!
Branch cupped Poppy's cheek and kissed her softly on her lips, a silent promise to be there for her during this difficult time. As her true love, he vowed to never leave her side, and they would be married very soon.
