Sophie's heart pounded, and desperation coursed through her as she kicked and thrashed against the person holding her captive. But it was as though her kidnapper couldn't even feel her struggles. Frustration built within her, and she then realised that she literally possessed the power to inflict pain on others. She made a mental note to kick herself later. Gathering her anger and determination, she focused on that power and unleashed it through her fingertips. The effect was immediate, her kidnapper fell hard, and Sophie slipped from their weakened grasp. Without a second thought, she dashed into the dense underbrush, a sense of urgency propelling her forward. "What do I do..... What to do..." she muttered as she ran, she couldn't be sure if more kidnappers lurked nearby, but she decided that she wasn't about to take any chances.
As she slowed to a jog, she couldn't help but think about the sheer vastness of the Neverseen's organisation. She didn't recognize the member who had abducted her, and the thought of unknown Neverseen agents sent a shiver down her spine.
Despite her initial haste, Sophie slowed down when she felt that she was no longer being pursued. The silence weighed on her, and she couldn't hear anyone else. It was then that she realised she had ventured far from the river, which had been her lifeline for potential freedom. Anger flared within her as she deduced that distancing her from the river might have been the kidnapper's plan all along. She covered her face with her hands and let out a scream, a release of pent up frustration and fear. It might not have been the best idea, but at that moment, she didn't care. She just needed to release her emotions.
Once her emotional outburst finished Sophie took a deep breath and tried to regain her cool. The reality of her current situation was bleak. She was lost in a vast jungle, hunted by the Neverseen. Survival was now her top priority. Her first concerns were food, water, and protection. Years of human teaching came rushing back, like how to make a fire or a waterproof shelter. She was, once again very grateful for her photographic memory. "Now, where am I going to find a tent..." she muttered to herself. But just the mere thought of food made her stomach rumble, she realised that she hadn't eaten in two whole days! But she refused to give the Neverseen the satisfaction of her surrender. She had no intention of quitting. She was going to fight to survive. "Now, where am I going to find a tent..." she muttered to herself.
