Timber Hudson stared down at the journals in front of him, trying to piece together everything from his life on the starship Salvation. There were so many of them, all filled with memories. Some good, and some awful.

He had a lot of explaining to do. After everything he'd done, he was going to be in quite a bit of trouble if he wasn't careful.

"Here," he said, picking up one of the older volumes and handing it over to Paul. "Start with this one. If you want to know what was going on through my head, this is the best place to get that information."

Paul looked at the small notebook. "If you think it's necessary... You know I will take you for your word alone."

"I know, and I'm grateful for that, believe me. But I also think it's good for you and our mutual boss to understand me as a person. Take the journal, read it, and if you still have questions, then we'll talk more."

"As you wish," Paul said. "I will return it shortly."

Right there, Paul opened up the book and began to read.
