Jamie's pov

Halfway the movie both wee Jamie and Maggie have moved themselves on the floor, right in front of the tv. Claire had smiled at the sight and cuddled up against me. I was afraid I was going to cry of happiness, everyone was here for christmas, and most important Claire was with me again. I glanced at her a while times and at a certain moment her eyes were closed and her breath was a bit slower.

I continued to make small circles on her back and brush my hand trough her hear gently. She always loved that, she found it soothing and could rest easier so I gladly did it for her. Mam walks in the room and smiles at us. ''Lovely,'' she mouths and I nod, grinning widely. ''Anyway, dinner is ready!'' she says and the wee bairns sprint of to the diningroom. Leaving only Claire and me behind.

''Sassenach,'' I gently shake her shoulders and she moans softly. ''What? I was so comfortable,'' her eyes flutter open and I chuckle. ''I know, but Mam said dinner is ready,'' she sighs and sits up. ''You better cuddle me like that again later, I love it,'' she says and I nod. ''It will be my pleasure,'' I grin and she leans in a bit. ''Would it be okay if I kiss you?''

I chuckle and nod. ''Ye dinna have tae ask, Claire,'' she smiles and softly presses her lips against mine. Our fingers are intertwined and our tongues explore eachothers mouth. I reluctantly pull away as we get carried away. ''Dinner,'' I whispers and she nods. ''Dinner,''

We walk to the table with our hands still intertwined. Everyone is already seated except Mam, who is putting the last things on the table. ''There you are, loves. What would ye want to drink?'' she asks and I glance at Claire. ''I'd like a whisky, if you still have that,'' she says and Ian chuckles. ''Lass we wouldna be real Scots if we dinna have whisky would we?''

She smiles. ''I suppose not,'' we take our place at the table. We sit besides eachother and I want tae grab her hand and hold it but I don't, not wanting to make her uncomforable. Surprisingly she grabs my hand and smiles at me. I smile back, feeling like a teenager all over again.

We eat dinner, talk, laugh and drink a lot. Hearing Claire's laugh is like hearing the perfect song. Her eyes glinster and her smile doesn't leave her face. Everyone notices and I know they do. After dinner I take Claire upstairs and sit her down on my bed. ''I want to give ye someting, Sassenach,'' I hand her a big box and she sets it down on the bed and opens it.

Inside are all of her old things, the ones I hadn't given her yet. ''My old things,'' she whispers and takes out a small trophy. ''I won this at a school competition of Biology,'' she smiles and I nod. ''Aye, ye were the smartes of the whole school,''

She closes to box again and I look at her cofused. ''I want to look at it when I have more time, the little ones will be waiting for us downstairs for the presents Jamie,'' she smiles again and it warms my heart. ''I would love to see you open your presents too, I bought quite a lot when I was on the trip,''I playfully shake my head and give her a gentle kiss on her cheek before we go back downstairs.

Later we all sit down in the livingroom and the wee bairns are excitedly opening their Christmas gifts. Wee Jamie finds a police car toy in his present and immediately clicks on a button causing an alarm to go of. Maggie has a pretty doll looking almost exactly like her. I'm snuggled up against Claire when wee Jamie hands me a present. ''You're name is on it, Uncle Jamie!''

Claire glances at the package and apparantly knows exactly what is in it. I carefully open it and it reveals a cup with a gold line on the top of it and ''James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser'' around the whole cup in gold letters. ''A whisky glass, it's bonnie Sassenach, thank ye,''

''How did you know I gave that to you?'' she asks softly and I grin at her. ''Ever since wee Jamie gave me it you've been looking for approvement. and ye have it Claire,'' she giggles softly. ''I'm glad you like it, I had to personolize it since your whole names wasn't in the store and I didn't want to only do James or Jamie,'' I place a kiss on her cheek and thank her again.
