8: Da Baby - S

Kade lost sight of the Robo-Baby.

Kade cannot believe he lost it.

As far as he knew, this little robot baby acted like a literal baby but somehow was more annoying than any of his other siblings. The little thing shouldn't be capable of getting that far with the small little crawls with its baby legs and yet everywhere he has looked has shown no signs of the invention.

He wasn't about to go admitting he lost it right away, after all, it was the beginning of his night shift and everyone was definitely dead asleep as the clock just ticked onto midnight. Yet, as he continued to look, he felt he was totally more toast.

he moved on to the main garage, his hope beginning to be low as he frantically looked everywhere. He knew that if he couldn't find the baby here or in the bunker, he would lose his mind. that baby was expensive and to lose something like that? talk about losing a ton of salaries and a ton of grounding.

"Guys, turn it down." It was a faint voice, Kade could barely make it out as he was still panicked a bit. "Do you want it to wake up and somehow run away again?"

"No but it is one cute sleeper." it was Boulder's voice, barely making a sound. "Who knew it could be so cute."

Kade decided to follow the quiet commotion, sliding down the firepole to make his way into the bunker. He couldn't really see the bots at first but as he turned the corner to where the television was, he found a sight he wasn't expecting.

"You look like you want off the floor." Blades says, point out the situation.

Boulder, Blades and Chase were all sitting, sort of huddled around in a circle all while Heatwave was pretty much laying in the middle of it. on top of Heatwave just so happened to be what Kade had been looking for this entire time.

"Yes, I've been stuck here for awhile and this one doesn't look like they'll get off anytime soon." Heatwave says in a whisper.

"There it is!" Kade says, but in response to his joy, he is given in an immediate hush. "Sorry."

"Yeah, the little thing fell asleep on Heatwave awhile ago." Blades says. "It just loves him that much."

"Oh shut up." Hetwave whisper-yells, not really liking what Blades had said despite how true it is. "Well, I would say get it off of me but if I move, it will wake up."

"I believe you don't need to wait anymore." Chase says, watching as the Robo-Baby is finally waking up.

The invention was confused for a brief moment but then seemed happy upon everyone's attention. Heatwave was fairly quick to give the little thing back to Kade, which easily left the redhead to go on and go back upstairs, the problem officially solved.

Boulder and Blades both went on their own to do things eventually, all while Chase and Heatwave remained behind. Heatwave looked somewhat unhappy though, which left Chase unable to leave quite yet.

"Trying to not be attached?"

"It's hard not to." Heatwave simply says as he goes to leave the room for the night, planning to only come out when night patrol comes around once again.
