How did Heatwave and Optimus get to that climbing point? Well, here's exactly how it went down.
____________________________________________________________________________________________It was extremely dark and cold.
Heatwave was first to fall into this dark place, but he thinks that was because he was of lighter weight than Optimus himself. Wherever he was though was extremely muddy too, since his only source for light was very much caked in a ton of mud somehow.
He couldn't tell where he could possibly be, but the roof was certainly close to his head since he already hit it about five times now. It was still underground due to the sharp jagged edges of rock his servos would touch, but no location could be recognized.
Something whooshed down so suddenly, landing right on top of Heatwave with a deadly pain and a vital sound. He basically found himself with whiplash with that single blow, needing to take a minute to recover but finds himself unable to do so with the giant weight that still crushes him at the very moment.
"Heatwave?" It was Optimus, clearly trying to make sure that there wasn't more separation within the chaos that just happened.
"Yeah?" His voice was choked, he still questioned how the prime hadn't noticed he was basically throwing his entire weight on his small body.
"Where are you?"
"You're sitting on me." Heatwave was beyond grateful to have the weight taken off of him, because even with all the respect he has, Optimus Prime was certainly a weight to carry.
By the sound of metal hitting rock, the firebot could already guess as to what exactly happened. This place definitely made no friends to bots their size, and for that, they would forever keep hitting their heads on the roof of this little cavern until they left.
"We need to find an exit." Optimus clearly didn't need to say that twice, because Heatwave had already been trying to look for one since he got down here. "Somewhere to which we can find everyone else."
"I don't suppose you have some sort of light source?" Heatwave certainly couldn't clean his at the moment, and water would only make it all worse in this disgusting area.
Was Heatwave prepared to get a light to the optic? No, in fact, he felt like he was merely blinded upon the moment it happened. The light was quickly turned off with a quick spout of a sorry from the Prime, before it was turned on once more in a different direction that wouldn't be blinding.
They both searched for a quick moment, exploring as to where his place could lead, until somebody had found something.
"Over here." Heatwave announces. "The ceiling is heading up, but the ground is a little slanted."
The floor was a little too sloped, and was prone to be slippery due to the muddy surface they were placed upon. Optimus came close to investigate, but slipped with ease to knock over Heatwave and drop them both down a dim lighten hole that somehow mysteriously existed.
Optimus had been able to stop first, throwing himself like a starfish to hold onto the sides of the longing tunnel. Heatwave had first slammed into Optimus before falling somewhat below and doing the same thing, just more spread out due to his lack of leg length.
"Sorry!" The bot called upwards, knowing for a fact that he did not mean to just randomly fall onto the Prime for no reason.
"It's alright Heatwave." Optimus says, slowly shuffling downwards. "Get to the opening to see what is there."
Both were quick to shuffle down the tunnel to find themselves at a major point. It was a vig opening that seemed to stretch rather far down, something that was not worth to explore at the very moment. There were available surfaces to climb on, which allowed them to go higher up in altitude.
"Now we must figure out how to get ourselves over there." Optimus points out, knowing a plan could be devised at this moment to get themselves out of this terrible situation.
Heatwave really would've said something regarding the plan, but he had noticed something else that was an extreme bother to him. At this point, he accidentally spits out what he never would imagine.
"Do you mind? I'm a minor you know."
Optimus had to take a look at the situation before moving himself properly back up the tunnel a little bit. As far as it went, his proximity to his body/head was definitely too close to Heatwave and could be deemed to be harassment of a minor if someone was idiotic enough to notice it.
At least Optimus randomly didn't say he was technically Orion Pax, because that is something he doesn't want to deal with right now.
