Well, Chase would one hundred percent do something crazy as long as it was fully capable of the laws which must be followed regarding where he is. To put it simply, as long as he doesn't break the rules, he will do anything.
Now the question is, was jumping into a magnetic dead zone to save Heatwave's life with a bubble tent one of these cases of crazy law following Chase does sometimes? Yes, it very much was.
When they all got to the firehouse after that, Heatwave put his servo on Chase's shoulder to tell him one thing about all of it.
