Blurr says he is really fast, but is he?
____________________________________________________________________________________________

It was a simple race, that is all it was. It had only happened because Blurr was going about that he was the fastest until Blades decided to just randomly bring Chase into it, which then made it so that the race existed.

It was a race on foot, no transforming, five laps around the small little track in the main hangar. it was being recorded through cameras so everyone could watch from their respective locations (Griffin Rock, that is all one had to say in order for things to be done)

Some bets were made regarding who would win, which was actually based off of shifts since the bots really wanted to join in on this and they aren't paid human dollars. regardless of the amount of shifts being in the bet, it was going to be an intense race

The race soon began without a single moment to lose, and it was thrilling. It was fifty laps around the track, they had to remain on the road (no shortcuts) and they were not allowed to transform at any moment or else they would be disqualified.

Some race worthy music played along as the laps were being tracked, some cheering going on as they watched what was happening through the screen. Blurr was seen to be ahead for most of it, but Chase was not that far behind him.

"Do you think we should've made it only three laps?" Salvage questions, unsure whether or not he is regretting the amount as he watches the race go on.

"Chase could literally do twenty-five if he really wanted to." Heatwave says, not really worried at all. "I have no idea if Blurr could compete with that."

It only just got to lap three, and yet, although it would probably be boring with the same action continually being played, it seemed that no one wanted to just stop watching what was happening.

"Neither one of them seems to be tired." Blades comments, watching the screen with intent until he notices something. "Boulder what are you doing?"

"Well, when I placed my bet, I didn't really take things into consideration so I did some calculations." He shows the many equations he has written down on a portable screen. "As I can see, Chase is more than likely going to win this because he is pacing himself rather than using all of his speed at once. "

"And what if one of them trips?" Salvage asks, which Boulder gives a funky face to since it is clear he did not take that information into consideration.

Boulder went back to doing his calculations, finally reaching the final lap of the race. Blurr had been ahead the whole time, but the purple mech found himself getting to be a little winded now and yet he still had a good bit to go.

"What?!" Blurr noticed how Chase was just easily passing him now, which made the bot very confused. "How?!"

Blurr tried to catch up but his frame couldn't do it, his strength was so depleted that he couldn't even try to go faster and get in front of the police bot. Due to his lack of some speed, Chase was able to get somewhat farther ahead with each passing second, leading to the end of the race.

Blurr was on the track, laying down as he was very much winded. He thought he was going to win this race, and that might have been the case if he settled on three laps.

"When you do rescue work for a long time, you understand what it means to pace yourself." Chase says, somewhat giving a quick little lesson in the moment.

"Yeah, sure." Blurr wheezes out, not planning on getting up anytime soon. "What is actually the trick?"

"pacing yourself and having strong legs?" Chase wasn't really sure whether or not that was fully the case but he hoped to himself it would be pleasant enough of an answer for the bot on the ground.

"Chase, having strong legs has nothing to do with it." Heatwave calls out on the comm-link, knowing he also needs to tell them to return.

"It doesn't?" Chase responds, leading to many questions being thought by many others with those words. "Then why did Blades tell me that my strong legs are good for running?"

all the bots are silent as they turn to Blades, all of them unsure of what to say and are pretty much speechless.

"Blades, how do you know Chase has strong legs?" Boulder asks, knowing that none of them knew this information at all.

the silence was torture for them all, many thoughts running in their processors as Blades took his que to leave.

"Wait, how does he know?" Salvage questions, thinking for a moment and then giving a strange face. "Oh."
