Broken boned never scared me.
I never was spoiled.
I played in the dirt until my clothes were soiled.
I sang to the birds
And climed all the trees.
I admired the flowers in the garden on my knees.
I didn't like shoes,
I couldn't stand milk.
I played with the girls who's hands were like silk.
I smiled.
I laughed.
I never failed a class.
I was so happy it seemed.
If only it would of last.
I chased butterflys in the spring,
I soaked in the summer sun,
In the fall I danced to the fires gleam,
And through the winter snow id run.
Now that I am older I can't help but wonder where the time goes. It seems to go so slow but just like snow when your not paying attention the faster it falls.
I never had a care at all.
