chapter eight

Bellatia

We sit in the living room silently for a minute, me and Warren didn't grow up together

He is the son of my father's first wife, and when they divorced, Warren's mother had custody of him

Apparently my mother was the reason of their divorce, there's a lot of family drama in our family, i don't know all the shit his Mother said to him while he was growing up, but i know he doesn't like me so much

He doesn't hate me either...but if he has to pick his favorite person on earth, it won't be me

'' what was that alarming call about Bellatia ? '' he finally asks

'' i want you to tell me the truth about why you sold your shares of the company to Jeon Jungkook '' i reply

He looks surprised for a few seconds, then he finally speaks again

'' is that why you called me for ? ''

'' yes...''

'' why? Why you suddenly want to know what i'm doing with my life ? ''

'' i don't care about what you're doing with your life, but i want to know why you sold your part of the company to someone you know Father didn't like '' i say quietly

'' i'm a grown man , i do what i want to do, and I have no accountability to you, neither  to my father '' he replies unbothered

'' i doubt that you're a grown man Warren, cause if you were...''

He laughs humorlessly '' that's your problem Bellatia, you think that you're superior than everyone just cause you were my father's favorite, everything i say, everything i do...you have to judge it, to give your opinion... opinion that i don't ask for, it was my PART of the company that i sold, to who ? doesn't matter, and for what even less...and even if it something that pisses you off, i'm still a grown man taking my own decision ''

I frown '' why are you so offended ? I just feel like you wouldn't sell your part without telling me first, i'm the director and legal owner of the Montgomery hotel chain ''

'' you're not my mother, i don't have to tell you what i'm doing with life '' he retaliates

I remain silent for a moment, i feel like he's trying to turn this into an argument and victimize himself so he won't answer my question

That's really suspiscious

'' you're twisting all the things now Warren, my question was simple, why did you sell it? You don't have any money issue, did he threats or blackmails you ? I say calmly despite how irritated he is already acting

'' he did not...and no , i don't have money issue, i just don't want to be a part of the Montgomery hotel chain management ''

'' then why didn't you sell me your part instead of him ? '' i say, offended

'' my father already gave you more than he should, why would i sell you mine ? ''

'' he gave me more than you cause you're a grown man doing childish shit '' i shout, finally losing my calm

'' then since both of you knew i was a grown man doing childish shit, why do you care about my last childish shit that much ? ''

'' cause Jungkook is trying to ruin me and the hotel chain, don't you understand ? ''

'' well...that's your shit Bellatia, deal with it'' he says before he stands up and leaves

I look at the door , i'm fuming, i take a deep breath and i close my eyes as a lean back on the couch
