chapter thirteen

I walk behind him as he guides me into his mansion

The way it becomes so cold and awkward between us after that argument and kiss in his car

We aren't even in the mood to bicker now, we just want to stay away from each other

But unfortunately, we have to be with each other today

He stops walking when he arrives at the mansion's main door , he turns around as he waits for me to reach him

I think I kinda prefer when we're fighting instead of this awkward silence between us and his expressionless face like that

for the first time I wish he was teasing me and getting on my nerves with his usual absurd grin on his face

We stand side by side and the door opens slowly and I see a line of people standing to greet us

The uniform they are wearing makes me guess that they're the staff members and housekeepers of the mansion

I feel Jungkook's arm suddenly pulling me closer by his side and he keeps it around my waist

" I want to introduce you to my fiancee...she will soon move in with me after we get married, I want all of you to treat her with respect, as if it was me, understood?  "

They all bow in unison at me " welcome home Miss Montgomery "

I nod and mumble a thank you and Jungkook pulls me away with him

He makes the house tour with me silently, it's so big and I feel like I might need a few more hours to visit the whole mansion, but he shows me the most important rooms

The main kitchen, all the living rooms, guest rooms, a huge library with shelves that are higher than a two floors house, it reminds me of the library in the cartoon beauty and the beast,I wonder if Jungkook even reads..., the gym, the endless botanical garden that I kinda fall in love with, very luxurious conference rooms in the mansion

He probably has meetings here very often

We stop in front of a room and I look at him since he didn't say a word

" Is that...a secret room where you put the corpses of your victims? " I ask

He doesn't answer and just opens the door

I roll my eyes, he's openly ignoring me

He's the one who started all the fight in the car, now he's acting more upset than me

He's so fucking irritating

Okay, maybe I was in fault too...

maybe.

But he has no right to act more upset than me, I'm the girl here

I follow him inside the spacious but empty room

" Your personal room, as you asked " he says coldly

I ignore his passive aggressive tone and walk to the bay window, there is a beautiful view of the botanical garden and the pool a bit further

I think I will love waking up to this view every morning

I shake my head, why the hell am I already liking Jungkook's house ?

I turn around to look at him and he's standing in a corner, watching me

There's a strange glimpse in his eyes despite the fact that he's mad

I'm not going to try to decipher it either

I still can feel his hand around my neck and his lips onto mine every time my thought reminded me of that moment
