I stand in front of the bay window, playing with the ruffles in my dress
The beach looks so calm in the darkness of the night
I wonder what everyone is doing right now?
They are probably somewhere in the resort, enjoying a good night massage or the hot pool while me and Jungkook have to deal with our families
I feel his hand pulling mine gently as he makes me face him
I didn't even notice him coming behind me cause of how lost I was in my thoughts
" Bella " he murmurs
I try to smile but I fail
He uses both thumbs to brush away the worry lines on my forehead before placing a soft kiss on it.
" Stop worrying...I don't like to see you this stressed " he says softly
" I know...but after my altercation with Megan this afternoon, I can only imagine the worst from this dinner "
He pulls me in his arms and I wrap my hands around his waist as my head rest on his chest
His hugs are therapy to me
I can hear his heart beating abnormally fast
" Your heart is beating so fast, you're acting cool but you are nervous too " I murmur, still in his embrace
He doesn't answer right on spot, we stand here in silence for a few minutes
Just the silence of the night as the witness of our hug
Then he finally speaks again
" Maybe my heart is beating fast for another reason " he whispers, almost like he is talking to himself
I raise my head to look at him
" Another reason? Are you sick ? "
He has a brief smile before he nods
" Uh huh " he says, affirmative
His gaze is so intense that my body shivers
He leans towards me and kisses the tip of my nose
" I'm sick " he adds with a raspy voice
I feel my own heart skipping a beat
What the heck is going on?
We look at each other and I bet my heart is racing now at the same speed as his earlier
What just happened?
He seems as lost as me right now
" We...we gotta go " I stutter as I let go of his waist
He follows me silently to the exit
I take some deep breaths discreetly to calm down my heartbeat
But it doesn't really work
I try to put this strange moment behind me to focus on something more serious
That dinner
We arrive at the restaurant of the resort, a very fancy one
Built in a shape of a cruise ship and an amazing view of the beach, the illusion they created with the architecture makes you really feel like you're on a boat, a lot of people come here just for dinner without staying at the resort cause of how popular it is
Jungkook pulls out the chair for me then he sits next to me on the big table
Big enough for his parents, my aunt, her husband and my cousins to sit
