~Erica~
"You've always been an attention seeker," I said, then rolled my eyes from annoyance. "But this." I was disgusted with my own brother. "This is so low of you. Accusing my friend of trying to sleep with you makes me hurt."
"I'm not-"
"You are!" I snapped, standing up now. "Your fantasies have always been bizarre to me but using my friend and telling me something like this is beyond me."
"Erica you-"
"Don't let him get in your head if this is how you're going to act, Adrian," I said. "I don't want mom and dad questioning me when they get back and see you like this."
I could tell that he was in shock, leaving him speechless. There was nothing that he could say that would change my mind and make me believe him.
"If you want Justin then all you had to do was say so," I added.
"I don't want Justin!" Adrian snapped.
"Then why else would you go to that party?" I questioned him. "You hate parties but when it's Justin then all of a sudden you're into them."
"You forced me to go to that party, Erica!"
"You could've said no!"
"I did! You didn't lis-"
"Then don't ask me where I'm going next time," I said, cutting him off as I made my way to the door. But before I left I turned to face him again. "Whether or not what you're telling me is true or not, before you think about seeing Justin again remember that he's open to sleeping with anyone that throws themselves at him."
I knew he stopped listening to me after that and I didn't feel like bothering to say anything else to him. I opened the door, walking out before shutting it behind me. I know the kind of person that Justin is and even though I wouldn't call us the best of friends I knew him well enough to know that he wouldn't force anyone to sleep with him.
I got out of the passenger seat of Justin's car once we got back to his house after leaving the club. After saying goodbye to the three boys I unlocked my own car, got in on the drivers side and started it up once I closed the door. The five hours that I spent with Oscar and Randy I realized that they are a cool pair to be around. Now I see why Justin likes to hang out with them.
When I got back home I pulled my car into the driveway and shut it off then made my way inside my own home.
"Erica?" my moms voice called out to me from the living room.
Once I reached the living room I saw my mom was sitting on the couch with the TV on. There were a ton of papers stacked and scattered out across the coffee table that was between the couch she sat on and the TV that hung on the wall.
"Come sit with me," my mom said softly and so I did.
I sat on the open spot beside her and decided to rest my head on her shoulder because I was honestly exhausted. Even though my plan when I got home was to go straight to my room and fall asleep on my bed, seeing my mom changed those plans.
"Where were you?" my mom questioned me.
"I was out with Justin and his friends," I replied. "We went to a club."
"How come you didn't invite your brother?"
"You know that Adrian doesn't like to go out, mom."
"Maybe you just need to get him around a small crowd," my mom suggested as if I haven't already thought about that.
I removed my head from her shoulder so that our eyes could meet and I let out a sigh. "Mom..."
"You know that Adrian is going through a hard time right now," my mom said with sympathy in her tone. Hearing her say those words caused me to roll my eyes in my imagination because doing that to her face I knew she would say something about it. "And he won't tell me or your dad."
"Okay but do you really think he's going to tell me?"
"The two of you used to be close."
"Mom, you know that's not true," I said quickly.
"I just don't want him to feel like he's being left out again."
"I agree," I said. "Which is why you should invite him to one of your events."
"You know that I can't do that."
I completely understood where my mom is coming from with this conversation but at the same time she doesn't see the same things that I see about Adrian. He always wants the attention. Anyone that knew him the same way that I did would see that.
"I'll do my best," I decided to say then stood up from the couch.
"Thank you, Erica," my mom said with soft eyes. "I love you."
"I love you too," I said under my breath then turned on my heel. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
I headed to the stairs, making my way up to get to my room but stopped by Adrian's room. His door was cracked open so I peeked my head inside thinking he was going to be awake so that we could talk but he was already asleep. I wasn't surprised because it was already midnight. I closed his door shut then made my way to my bedroom and closed my door.
