I was able to get dressed and ready in time to leave with Erica so we could arrive at the Parks Valentine's Day event together. The whole car ride was silent until she broke it asking me a question that I already knew the answer to.

"I thought you said you weren't going to anymore events," she stated.

"I did," I replied.

"So what made you change your mind?"

"I need an answer," I said. "I'm tired of being ignored."

"That's understandable."

That's where our conversation ended because we were already walking into Justin's house. The theme was Valentine's Day colors so red, pink, and white which of course I wasn't surprised when I saw everyone wearing those colors. I had thrown on a dark red suit that my dad had bought me and Erica was wearing a white dress. She did that on purpose because, in her words, "Maybe someone's son would notice me and want to ask me to be his wife."

I noticed Maricio conversing with a man that looked to be around our age then Justin appeared from behind him with a grin on his face. He held a glass that I was sure had champagne in it considering that's all they drink at these events. This was it. This was my time to break away from Erica and have a one on one conversation with him. That was until he started making his way to us after we made eye contact and slowly his grin went away.

I already told Erica not to say anything to Justin about what we talked about because again I didn't want him to know that I told her. The things that happened between Justin and I were meant to be private but I knew it probably wouldn't be long before Justin told her himself.

"Hey guys," he said once he was standing in front of us. "Happy Valentine's Day."

"Happy Valentine's Day," Erica said. "You actually put yourself together for once."

"I tried," he said with a grin then his eyes met mine. "Hey Adrian."

"Hey Justin," I said, softly.

"Seeing you two together I'm guessing there wasn't another argument?"

"No argument," Erica said. "But a good... talk."

"About Danny?" Justin asked.

Fuck! Was he seriously going to do this right now?

"What are you talking about?" Erica asked and when I looked at her I saw the confusion but a slight bit of guilt on her face.

"You said you two talked," Justin said.

"Not about that," I chimed in.

"Well, let's talk about it now."

"Justin-"

"There's nothing to talk about because I don't know what you're talking about," Erica said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"Can we at least take this conversation outside?" I asked, making my way to the front door without waiting for an answer from them.

I walked out of the house first, stopping a few feet away from the front door and soon Justin and Erica joined me. Once the door closed Justin started the conversation.

"You still want to act like you don't know what I'm talking about?" he asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"No one's acting Justin," Erica said.

"Erica," I spoke, getting both of their eyes on me. "You know that Danny, Lukas, and Conner tried to assault me?"

"What!?" she exclaimed. "Adrian what the fuck are you talking about?"
