~Adrian~

Slowly I opened my eyes thinking I was going to see the wall, the last thing I saw before I fell asleep, but instead I saw something else. Someone else. His natural beauty, calm breathing, and his closed eyes fluttering softly. I stared at him not intentionally but because it was hard for me to look away. I wanted to touch him, a gentle brush of my finger against his cheek but I wasn't sure why.

I thought to myself, how could someone like you look so peaceful while sleeping but hurt me in such a heartbreaking way? It was a new thought inside of my head and a question that I wanted an answer to but knew there was no way that I was going to get it.

A low groan echoed between the limited space between us and soon his eyes slowly opened. His brown eyes met mine before they disappeared behind his eyelids again.

"How long?" He questioned me in a grumble.

"Huh?" I asked confused by his sudden question.

"How long?" He repeated then turned over on his back rubbing his eyes. "Have you been watching me?"

"I wasn't watching you," I said in a quick response before rolling over on my back.

"You're lying," he said with a small chuckle.

I sat up and looked over my shoulder at him. There was a smirk on his face and for some odd reason it made my heart pause for a brief moment.

"Do you remember anything from last night?" I asked desperately to change the subject.

"Nope," he replied nonchalantly then sat up next to me.

Our eyes met and he added, "I just remember talking to my mom about the company then meeting up with some guys and now I'm waking up in your bed."

"Justin," my voice came out in a sheepish tone as I struggled to find the right words to say.

"Look whatever happened last night I don't want to talk about it," Justin said and I couldn't help but hear a sudden rise in his tone as he stood up. "I don't even know how I got here."

"The evidence is on the floor," I said under my breath.

Justin must've heard me because his eyes went to the floor, landing on the empty vodka bottle he stumbled into my room with. He let out another chuckle reaching down to pick up the bottle.

"Typical," he mumbled more so to himself since he didn't make eye contact with me.

Before Justin could stand up, I did something not even I was expecting to ever do. I stopped him, grabbing his arm causing him to look at me confused.

"I... Why did you show up at my house?" I asked knowing damn well I wasn't going to get a direct answer but still thought maybe-

"I was drunk," he responded carelessly while holding up the bottle.

"Right," I said, then let go of his arm. "Of course."

He stood up making his way to the door but before he opened it, someone on the other side beat him to it.

"Adrian-," Erica spoke then paused suddenly when her eyes met her troublemaker friend.

"Justin?" She said more so in a question. "What are you doing here?"

Once again, he held up the empty bottle like that was going to be his answer to everything he didn't know how to answer.

"Excuse me," he said, stepping around my sister.

Erica's eyes met mine but I quickly dropped my head to my bed while I listened to Justin making his way downstairs before leaving our house.

"Adrian," Erica snapped like an angry mom. "Why-"
