"I need to get better at my reversed cursed technique!" Haku was arguing with Gojo over her plan to work on her technique.

"And you come up with having someone wound you repeatedly?" Gojo threw his hand, irritated. "What if you can't heal for some reason? Then you'll die! It's a bad idea."

Clenching her fists, Haku continued to push her case. "Yeah, but what if I can't use it right during a battle! I'll die then! Besides, I'm not asking you to blast a hole in me. I can practice with minor wounds. I had issues focusing my healing and attacking at the same time against that special grade, and it was nothing in strength compared to the patch faced curse or Mount Fuji head!"

Gojo groaned. "No one can use both simultaneously anyway, Haku." In theory anyway, this was true. He had yet to try it himself, and with his constant replenishment of his cursed energy it could be possible, he had to admit. Even more possible for Haku given her endless supply.

"Maybe I can! I bet you could if you tried." Haku argued. "The idea is you can't use both because of the negatives and positives and that you can replenish your cursed energy. Mine is infinite thanks to being the Wellspring! Even if I can't, I need to get faster at doing it! I'm already better at using it on others now because of practice!" Haku could not give up. She had to get stronger. Those special grades were up to something, and no doubt there were more they had yet to meet to deal with. Two of them had been humans that were half curses. What else was there to deal with?

Gojo placed a hand on her shoulder. "You are precious to me. You've dealt with a lot, more than I can imagine given your situation."

Haku sighed. "It's not like I remember it anyway."

"Maybe that's a good thing."

The comment hit hard. She stepped back causing Gojo's hand to fall from her shoulder. Not remembering was painful. That pulling in her mind, always happening for the dumbest things, like crepe, and her Go-kun, and particularly when she looked in Gojo's eyes. "Satoru-san, do you not believe in me?"

Gojo recoiled like he had been slapped. The tone in Haku's voice hit him hardest. "That's not....It's not that, if it is possible you'd be one of the ones I think could do it. You have done nothing but amaze me since the first day we met. This is just a bit extreme." He reasoned. Not that he had not tried some rough training before. Haku was amazing too, slipping through his infinity when they met 12 years ago. Megumi had said the curse under the bridge had skewered her, and it felt like a punch in his gut. He just hated to see her hurt.

"Satoru-san" Haku sighed. "I'm not asking you to blast a hole in me. I'm not asking you to do it at all. Small wounds would be enough. Just to try and focus on it."

Gojo stood, arms folded, bouncing his leg. After a while he stopped, clicking his tongue and rubbing the back of his head. "Alright, alright. I think the best person for this would probably be Maki. We can talk with her and if she says yes, we give it a try. But, if she thinks it's stupid, then you give up. Deal?"

Haku smiled and pumped her fist. "Deal!"

Gojo stood, secretly irritated, with Maki and Haku. He had hoped Makil would shut Haku down, but it was the complete opposite. Maki stood with a crooked grin on her face. "Hell yeah, let's try it. Glad to see my Kohai working so hard. Thanks for taking good care of Inumaki during the Goodwill event too."

Haku grinned, and fanned her hand. "No problem. Glad I was able to help at least. That curse was no joke." She became slightly more serious. "So when can we start?"
