(This is kinda bad but whatever lol)
It was the early morning when Sera awoke. He didn't remember falling asleep, he must've been more tired than he thought.
He stretched and looked out the small window. The ship was still in its same spot, parked on a rooftop where you could look out at the city below.
He didn't know what time it was. While looking for his holo the door slid open and Lysandri stood there. Remembering he didn't have a shirt on, Sera instinctively covered his chest while Lysandri's tanned skin flushed into a deeper orange. They covered their face, turning their head away. "Sorry! Sorry—"
"Nono, it's fine, I—" Sera started, his face turning pink as well. He looked down, grabbing his shirt and pulling it over his head.
"I uh— I was just bringing you some food." They held a tray in their hands, looking down. It had water and a few ration packs. "It's nothing special, I just thought..."
Sera nodded, his heart pounding. "Thank you."
Lysandri nodded back as their gaze slid back up to him, their skin turning a shade lighter once they both recollected themselves. Sera took the tray from them and they both stood there awkwardly, not being able to meet each other's eyes.
"Right," Lysandri muttered. "I'm gonna—" they gestured with their thumb behind them.
"Oh, yeah." Sera nodded, his face heating up.
"Yeah." They tried to nonchalantly stick their hands in their pockets as they turned to leave.
Sera closed the door, exhaling a breath and putting a hand to his chest, wondering why he felt like his heart was gonna explode out of it.
Lysandri sat in the cockpit, mentally cursing themself. Somehow they always managed to make things worse. It was bad enough they were already awkward around Sera, and now they just walked in on him, practically half naked. They groaned, putting their face in their hands.
They heard the door to the cockpit slide open, and they looked up, assuming it would be Sera, to see the woman from last night. Her hair was a bit disheveled, and she'd changed into the clothes Lysandri left on the nightstand. She looked tired to say the least, but not on the verge of blacking out like last night.
"Oh, hello." Lysandri stood up, approaching her.
The woman was hesitant. Her eyes moved around the cockpit, landing on Lysandri.
"We're not going to hurt you. My friend and I helped you last night, remember?" They said in a gentle voice. She eventually met their eyes, seeming to warm up.
She nodded, seeming to recollect the memories of last night. "Yes, I remember." She said, her voice soft.
Lysandri slowly nodded. They weren't very good at comforting people.
"Thank you," She avoided their gaze. "That guy was bothering me all night. I think he put something in my drink."
"You don't have to thank me. We were only doing the right thing." They replied, and she nodded.
"My name is Lysandri."
"I'm Kallia." She looked up at them, smiling slightly.
Lysandri mirrored her smile. "Do you want any water? Something to eat?"
Kallia nodded, and Lysandri left and came back with some rations. They were never a good cook, and it wasn't like they could just whip up some breakfast, so the rations were the best thing they had. "Sorry, we're a bit low on supplies right now. This is the best we have."
